Sa Jun answered calmly.

“Father lived here for about three years during his honeymoon. It’s being used as a guesthouse now, and partial remodeling has already been done, so you can fill in the interior however you like. Want to take a look?”

Tae Hee nodded quietly and took Sa Jun’s hand, stepping inside the iron gate.

Though not as grand as the garden they’d just seen, this lawn was wide and lush with green grass, beautifully landscaped.

A quaint little playground on one side of the garden held Tae Hee’s gaze for a long while.

After a while, she finally turned her head and saw a narrow, house-like structure attached to the side of the main building, so she slowly walked toward it.

Inside the space enclosed on three sides by floor-to-ceiling glass was an indoor swimming pool.

Tae Hee swallowed hard and said to Sa Jun,

“I want to go inside the house too.”

A door connecting the two buildings stood in the center.

When Sa Jun opened it, a vast open space on the first floor appeared. Even Tae Hee, who had zero interest in cooking, could tell it was a kitchen every woman would dream of.

Mom would love this, she thought, standing in the middle of the spacious, unfurnished area.

Thick afternoon sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, warmly bathing the living room.

Gazing out at the garden visible beyond the glass, Tae Hee closed her eyes as if entranced.

She could picture Sa Jun playing with their child in that garden.
