“I have no intention of getting close to a bat-like woman. I’m just trying to become confident and shameless in the future. So, Tae-hee, stop worrying about your mom and just think about your happiness. Got it?”
What on earth happened during the hour she wasn’t confident?
While taking calls, Sajun briefly left the room, and a madam left because her husband came. Then, for ten minutes when the two weren’t there, Tae-hee heard the story from Hyesuk.
That Hyesuk found the courage for the first time, that the madam chose Hyesuk instead of that woman, that the woman left in anger, and that the person chose Hyesuk, not that woman.
The effect of Gang Sajun was to this extent.
Tae-hee, who subtly shifted her gaze, grinned at the driving Sajun.
Sajun’s neatly overlapped sharp lines were artistic again today.
Even to her, it would be regrettable. How much more regrettable would it be for the adults?
Today’s events were all possible because of Sajun.
What she couldn’t achieve in several years, Sajun accomplished in a few minutes.

Like a miracle of Moses.
Anyway, regardless, Tae-hee was quite surprised by Hyesuk’s courage.
Until now, no matter what she said countless times, there was no change in Hyesuk. Yet, in just a few minutes, Sajun changed her.
“Kang Sajun, what on earth did you say to my mom?”
Even to Tae-hee’s sudden question, Sajun nonchalantly replied.
“I told her that she would be happy if she became confident.”
“Just because of that one word, my mom did something she had never done in her life?”
With a suspicious gaze, Tae-hee, Sajun chuckled.
“Why, do you think I threatened your mom or something?”
Considering how self-centered he is, it was entirely possible.
That is, if it were someone other than himself or Hyesuk.

But Sajun had faith that he would never do that to Hyesuk and me.
“No. You’re a good guy to me and mom.”
That’s why. That coolly denying response.
“Really, thank you.”
In response to Taehee’s sincere words, Sajun asked as if he had been waiting.
“So, Mintahee, can I take four hours of your time until the afternoon?”
“I don’t have anything special to do, why?”
“Let’s synchronize our couple phones. Let’s match the numbers, including the last digits.”
Anyway, since it would be over in a hundred days, the couple phone was meaningless. Taehee was considering rejecting it, thinking that the phone was expensive.
But Sajun said, “It’s a contractual relationship. So, don’t hesitate to accept anything I do without burden.”

Feeling like her heart was read, Taehee felt embarrassed. Pride is a luxury that is taken care of among people who truly love each other. Because you want to act confidently and shamelessly in love, and you also want to keep just one piece of pride because you love.
In conclusion, what Sajun said was right. It’s a relationship of contractual dating where receiving is natural, and asserting one’s pride itself is ridiculous.
So, Taehee corrected her mindset.
“What burden? I’m actually thankful.”
“Then I’m glad.”
For 13 years, while being friends, Taehee had never received anything expensive from Sajun.
At first, Sajun said he bought it without much fuss or gave it without needing it, but Taehee refused every time.
At that time, she wanted to act desperately enough to be foolish.
Even if she acted like a fool, she wanted to keep just one piece of pride.
If she lost that too, she felt like she would become a truly insignificant existence.

That’s why, now, spending a lot of money as if it were nothing for Sajun was honestly awkward and burdensome for Taehee.
But without showing it, Taehee joked while smiling.
“But can you really change my phone? It’s totally nice because I have a capable boyfriend?”
However, Sajun took that playfulness seriously.
“Say anything. I can change your house and buy a building for you.”
Sajun was a guy who did what he said. He couldn’t stand empty words.
Anyway, he couldn’t take a joke.
While grumbling inwardly, Taehee, with a smile back on her face, said again, as usual.
“But you’ll be with me forever, receiving a house, receiving a building, right?”
“I caught on, Mintahee.”

Sajun laughed out loud.
… This kid is really something.
“But the phone won’t be activated on Sundays.”
“If we match it today, it will be activated tomorrow. There shouldn’t be any problem.”
That’s true. When Taehee nodded in agreement, Sajun once again said casually.
“And I’m going to buy another SUV. Choose one for me.”
This time, Taehee couldn’t help but ask why he was not changing cars but buying one more.
Since Sajun’s car is a two-seater, he hastily rented a car for today’s outing with Hyesuk.
No matter how you look at it, really, how many times do I have to go to Ilsan and buy a car again?
I guess there’s no place to complain about money issues.
It was when Taehee absentmindedly answered that she understood without much thought and looked out the window.

“And Mintahee.”
Perhaps because the okay signs came one after another easily.
Sajun, calling Taehee’s name, made the third request.
“Be with me tonight.”
Just like this time, nonchalantly, as if it were really trivial.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
