I'm The Lowest-Ranking Daughter Of A Martial Arts Villain (2 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 22
Na Rin pointed to the section titled “3. Was the Qingcheng Sect disciple truly in a state of demonic possession?” and continued speaking.
“And finally—this is the most puzzling part. The two of you hold opposing opinions.”
Two people?
Her momentary confusion vanished instantly as Na Rin sharply turned her head toward Gong Son Woo.
“Guardian of the Land, was the Qingcheng Sect disciple afflicted by demonic possession?”
“No. He was not.”
“Why do you think so?”
As if he had been waiting for this question, Gong Son Woo smoothly delivered his prepared answer.
“If that man had truly been in a state of demonic possession, his face should have flushed red from the blood and heat surging to his head, and prominent veins or blotches should have been visible—but there was absolutely no such sign. On the contrary, he appeared unnaturally pale, almost blue-tinged.”
“Then why did Lady Blood Demon believe he was in demonic possession?”
At Na Rin’s question, Blood Demon lifted the horned bracelet to her lips and recalled once more the vision she had seen long ago through the Blood Mirror.
“…Through the Blood Mirror, his vision appeared hazy and red. All his qi was chaotic, as if swept away by some overwhelming force beyond his control—that’s why I concluded he was possessed.”
Na Rin raised her voice toward Dokgo Cheon and the gathered assembly.
“What we can deduce from this is that although the Qingcheng Sect disciple showed no outward signs of demonic possession, his mental state was so disturbed that it appeared as if he were possessed. So then—the crucial question is, why did he fall into such a state?”
Why had the Qingcheng Sect disciple reached that condition?

One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”

I wander if circulating the energy unprepared might harm her body. We didn’t read about her preparing meridians or opening her own acupoints, etc. Or was she already born with the fully cultivated body? 🤷🏻♀️

I was visualising all special effects during their fight. It might have been spectacular! Pink plum flowers from the 4y.o and demonic purple from the Heavenly Demon. 🔥
Their interaction with each other and his attachment to her is so sweet. I hope he knows she’s his daughter. 🦋💗
How vile is this bloodthirsty demon, plotting to kill a child and preying on the weak.
