I'm The Lowest-Ranking Daughter Of A Martial Arts Villain (2 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 139
Deep furrows creased Gong Son Woo’s brow as he turned to look at Na Rin.
“What, did you fall into demonic possession?”
“No, I didn’t.”
Seeing her answer so calmly was a relief, yet Na Rin’s suspicion had still been reasonable.
The training hall—its floor, walls, and even ceiling—was scarred with slashes.
His clothes were torn to shreds, as if shredded by bursts of raw energy.
His hair was completely disheveled.
Even his aura felt far too violent to be the usual Gong Son Woo.
‘He could just as well be called the Mad Dragon.’
Honestly, “Mad Dragon Gong Son Woo” sounded more impressive than “Second Greatest Demon Under Heaven.”
Na Rin strode forward and said,
“If it’s not demonic possession, then what’s all this commotion about? Did you have some kind of enlightenment or something?”
“Enlightenment, my foot.”
Gong Son Woo let out a heavy sigh and slumped down onto the floor.
“It’s because I have too many worries. Too many.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
Intro

But to enchant a god, making him taste the bitterness of love’s separation, long-lasting resentment, unattainable desires, and inability to let go…
Do you dare?
Su Heng assists a divine lord in his cultivation, aiming to make him experience all the sufferings of love, so that he can attain the Great Dao.
Only after being chased down from the heavens by the divine lord, confined and completely possessed by him, does she realize how successful she has been.
The once gentle and polite youth has transformed into someone she no longer recognizes.

Jo28 Chapter 140I don’t like history at all. But the development in their relationship is very good 😌.
Jo28 Chapter 141Oh my God! And I thought he’d revealed this in previous chapters, but it wasn’t mentioned as a flaw in the story.
Jo28 Chapter 142Yobi-joo is so confident in his looks that he calls his sister a chestnut 😂😂😂😂

By the way, I was puzzling over those “Daddo”, “Dadbu” terms. Probably it is 대부 (Daebu) instead, meaning “godfather” (and metaphorically in business “powerful magnate”). So, depending on the situation it could be “Godfather” (seen their familiarity), and more like “Patron” (when e.g. she presented him to the hall staff).

I like this rare glimpses into the history. Like when there was a talk about the Qin dynasty and Lü Buwei back then. Some actual knowledge remains this way 🙌🏻

Not “to cure” but to “poison” Na Rin.
And not “an antidote”, but “the poison”.

I sometimes think Na Rin could do much better than this. First of all if she can meet Dan through libraries, just use a different one, or build a secret one?
Also she has an advantage of the status windows, so she might see who other people are and their stats, and so foresee their abilities and smth else probably?
Anyways.. let’s see how studying Aversa goes.

It’s good that nothing happened to Gong Sun-woo. And I think that filthy old man is a liar.
