Melodia, the Crown Prince, and the Pope took their seats.

The Pope looked even more distracted than usual. The Crown Prince was no different. Of those present, only Melodia could at least feign a semblance of composure.

She sipped her tea with her usual calm expression.

Unlike the Pope, who wore a slightly intimidated look as he watched the composed Melodia, the Crown Prince simply appeared pleased. He gently grasped Melodia’s hand and murmured affectionately,

“…Melodia.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

“What is it you called me here for? Not that we truly need a reason between us…”

Gazing at Melodia’s dreamy expression, the Crown Prince smiled contentedly.

With Melodia by his side, it felt as though everything would fall perfectly into place. The more he looked at her, the more subtly euphoric he became.

The Pope, who had been silently watching the Crown Prince cultivate an atmosphere as if they were alone together, cleared his throat twice.

“Your Highness, I apologize, but it was not Melodia who summoned you—it was I.”

Hearing the Pope assert his authority, the Crown Prince frowned slightly in discomfort.

“So then, what is it, Pope?”

“Well…”

The Pope anxiously ground his teeth. He held his hand out before his chest and muttered,
