Bessy raised both hands high, then swiftly pulled them downward, as if her hands themselves were summoning rain.

Just then, the sound of rain pounding against the window grew heavier.

“So, what we need is a mage?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

The atmosphere grew heavy. There were no mages in Titris. Moreover, currently, the only mages rich in mana resided in Bedroka.

“The longer we wait, the more mana will be required to awaken Lady Elise.”

Mages abundant in mana would never willingly step forward—they had no reason to help others.
