That day, Elise walked through every corner of the square and purchased a failing trinket shop.

Judging by the loose, dangling sign and the thick layer of dust covering the display counters, it was clearly a business on the verge of collapse.

It was a genuinely ruined shop—one she had never even heard of, no matter how far back she searched her memories.

It was so shabby it would have been embarrassing to even offer as a gift.

Whether Jasmine realized this or not, she merely blinked her large eyes.

‘Is this not enough? Should I have put her in debt instead?’

Since it had been an impulsive act, Elise had no right to protest even if Jasmine refused.
