Her rapid speech, delivered without even donning a shawl, strongly conveyed her determination not to give Benjamin any time to blame himself.

“You won’t even listen to my worries?”

“But I really am fine.”

She added that instead of worrying, he should think of other things—and above all, never regret having left her alone with Heathcliff.

“That was my choice. Your Highness has no need to regret my decision.”

It was a statement so resolute it bordered on harsh. Benjamin turned to the physician and asked,

“How is the Lady’s condition?”

“There’s absolutely no issue. Even if, by the slightest chance, Her Ladyship had caught a mild fever, the healing magic within the Proof of Bloodline would have cured her completely.”

Aside from her palms, which were chafed from gripping the sword, Yuricien was so healthy one could safely assume nothing else had happened to her.
