Yuri Hsien hurried her steps to meet Heathcliff as soon as possible. The excitement was such that she didn’t find it strange to meet at a wine bar rather than a restaurant at dinner time.
“Oh, aren’t you the lady?”
As she was adjusting her dress at the door, a man coming out from inside caught her eye and pretended to recognize her.
The man, who neatly swept back his ashcolored, greased hair, appeared to be in his mid40s. His gentle eyes were striking. His multicolored, appealing eyes and a stylish mustache added to his gravity. Most noticeable was the badge attached to his chest.
‘This man must be the master of the bar.’
The gold grape badge, which could only be worn by a sommelier recognized by the Heljeleon Empire, suited him very well.
“What brings you here?”
Every time the master spoke, a noise that was not quite irritating emanated from the tastevins around his neck. The master acted as if he knew Yuri Hsien well, but surprisingly, she had never met him before.
Yuri Hsien did not want to offend this person who was pretending to know her and nodded her head with a relaxed expression.
“Is His Highness the Prince inside?”

“Yes, he is inside. I will escort you there.”
Even though he must have been outside for a specific reason, the master courteously offered to escort her. His attitude was as flawless as that of Prince Heathcliff.
As they were walking, the master spoke in a soft voice.
“Have you had dinner?”
“Um, not yet.”
“Then shall I prepare some snacks? His Highness the Prince has only requested brandy and some simple canapés.”
“Then His Highness the Prince must have other thoughts.”
Yuri Hsien, who had haphazardly eaten not only breakfast but also lunch, suddenly felt a strong hunger but soon shook her head. Perhaps this wine bar was a meeting place, and they might soon move to a restaurant.
“I’m fine too.”
“Yes, I understand. If you need anything, please pull the rope at any time.”

The place the master guided her to was deep within the wine bar, a private space. As the master, who bowed his head in greeting, turned to leave, Yuri Hsien cleared her throat. Then she knocked lightly.
“Your Highness, I have arrived.”
“Ah, the lady. Come in.”
A welcoming voice came from inside. It was Heathcliff, although his tongue was slightly slurred.
‘Come to think of it, His Highness the Prince had a low tolerance for alcohol.’
She remembered him saying he liked alcohol but regretted that he rarely increased his tolerance. He had even looked cute back then, laughing clearly under a tree with the sound of leaves rustling in the wind.
‘It feels like such a distant memory, though it’s not that old.’
It was only three years ago, before Elugen went missing. Thanks to the happy memory, Yuri Hsien’s lips naturally curved up.
As she pulled open the door, a strong scent of brandy hit her. A smoky smell of cigars was also in the air, as if several had been lit. Between the dim lamp lights, faint smoke drifted.
Yuri Hsien, who had grown up as a pure and noble lady, found this decadent scene very strange.

Not knowing how to act, she unknowingly frowned, and Heathcliff, who was leaning half on the table, raised his hand.
“Come here, my lady.”
His tottering figure was rather unsightly. His voice sounded more inebriated than when she had heard it outside. Yuri Hsien’s beloved mysterious eyes were now clouded.
Yuri Hsien realized that when he was drunk, and his whites turned yellow, the odd blend of green and blue in his eyes seemed light blue in the middle. But that color was too alien.
So much so that the person in front of her seemed not to be Heathcliff.
“Ah, right. You are such a woman.”
Yuri Hsien hesitated, and Heathcliff jeered with an unintelligible sound.
“A woman unmatched in her arrogance, who won’t go anywhere without an escort.”
He muttered softly, but Yuri Hsien didn’t hear the sound. Focused on Heathcliff’s lip movement, a sudden chill brushed her hair. She hadn’t been able to read his lips, but she had a premonition that something bad would happen.
‘But what could it be?’
While hesitating, not knowing what the ominous feeling was foretelling, Heathcliff staggered to his feet from his seat.

“You are……. ”
A drawnout word, a staggering step.
“All you have now…… is.”
A faint smirk mixing with a swaying step.
“A body that’s nothing special, what’s so great about you.”
And with a word sharp as a dagger, one step right in front of her nose.
Heathcliff, who had been striding awkwardly, now stood close enough for his shoe tips to collide. She could feel an unpleasantly hot heat emanating from him. So close that it was out of focus, Yuri Hsien watched him blankly as if seeing a ghost.
This irritated Heathcliff’s nerves.
“Are you not scared, or do I not scare you?”
The twisted words filled with annoyance sounded like an insult. She had seen Heathcliff drunk sometimes, but never this out of his mind. Moreover, she didn’t understand what he was saying. No, she didn’t want to understand.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
