If You Wish For My Death (6 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 18
Veronica tried to spend some time alone with Cassian during the remainder of the birthday banquet.
However, the man left his seat under the excuse of dizziness and never showed his face again afterward.
Veronica, having already achieved her goal after the first day, saw no need to attend the banquet again.
Thus, she visited him the next day to request a meeting, but only received repeated refusals.
Meanwhile, the birthday banquet concluded grandly, and immediately afterward, the Imperial family’s hunting tournament commenced.
Though it was called a tournament, in truth it was merely entertainment among the Imperial family; nevertheless, it was an occasion where participants compared their game to determine a winner.
The Emperor himself would bestow a prize upon the victor. The hunt took place in the Imperial family’s private hunting grounds.
Veronica, having made preparations, also arrived at the hunting grounds. Attendees of the tournament had gathered on a hill near the forest entrance. Considering it an Imperial family event, the number of attending nobles was considerable.
Since fewer people attended compared to the previous birthday banquet, this was clearly a prime opportunity to win the Emperor’s favor. It was easy to imagine what sort of requests and favors had been exchanged just to secure an invitation.
On the hilltop, groups of nobles formed around the princes.
Though participants ranged from the Crown Prince down to the youngest prince who had only just begun to walk, the crowds drawn to each showed a stark contrast.
“This year’s largest game is supposedly a bear.”
“Then we just need to avoid that one.”
Information about the hunt was also exchanged discreetly—it was, after all, the most crucial intelligence at this event.
Each year, the Emperor emerged as the victor of the hunt. While his hunting skills were indeed commendable, deliberate arrangements were naturally also at play.

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most
One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.
This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:
1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.
It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.
(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)
2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.
The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.
3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.
Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).
Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.
Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.
4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).
5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!

this chapter was extremely sad. I like the fact that the author keep emphasizing on her past life, like not to let go her trauma. I i have read many fast pace regression novels when as soon as fmc finds love everything else just goes really fast and nothing else matters almost as if forgetting the revenge which was suppose to be the priority, so far loving this novel i hope they don’t ruin it.
I can totally understand the fmc she don’t want fake friends cause she already has a experience where she thought someone was her friend but they where only using her for her status. I mean its always hard to trust people when u been betrayed badly. I can totally understand her having trust issues.
she must be thinking something really romantic is going on between them. If only she knew what her favorite is scheming in that head of hers.
