Mana, gripping both of Kisa’s hands tightly, forced a smile and gave her final advice.

“Don’t overexert yourself. Though it can’t be helped aboard a ship, when traveling by land, if you feel too weary, be sure to tell Mr. Gale to stop for rest.”

“Yes, I’ll keep that in mind.”

“This is your first pregnancy after all, and adjusting to life in a foreign place won’t be easy. Especially since Bella is the type who rarely relies on others and prefers to tough it out alone—that worries me even more.”

Though they’d only lived together for barely three months, she had already seen clearly through Kisa’s character.

“A person can’t always go it alone. You must also learn to lean on others when needed. Accept help when offered, and give it when you can. That’s how I’ve lived, and that’s how we all get by.”

Seeing such earnest concern for her well-being, Kisa’s eyes stung slightly.

Though different from a nanny, this woman somehow evoked in her a faint longing for a mother’s warmth.

“I’ll do as you say, so please don’t worry too much.”

Still unconvinced, Mana shot a light glare toward Gale.

“Honestly, Mr. Gale, you’re far too careless. No matter how important your duties are, dragging your wife—especially one who isn’t even traveling alone—off so abruptly is simply unacceptable. You really do have a rather thoughtless streak.”

For the record, both Mana and Daisy believed Gale was being sent on business to a distant land and that Kisa was merely accompanying him.
