Daniel rubbed his chin with a hum before promptly instructing the butler to escort the unfamiliar visitor to the drawing room.

“Wait, this is your house?”

Count Theodor, utterly dumbfounded by the uninvited guest’s audacity to act as if he were the master of the house, shot back sharply—only for Daniel to calm him with a loose, easygoing smile.

“There’s supposedly an important matter. What harm could there be in meeting him? He might even be a monk from that monastery.”

Upon hearing this, the Count clicked his tongue in irritation.

He wasn’t so oblivious as to fail to guess which monastery Daniel meant.

Indeed, considering the possibility Daniel had just raised, it would be rash to turn the visitor away without even hearing him out.

“Very well. Bring him to the drawing room.”

At the Count’s command, the butler hurriedly left the garden, and the Count himself placed the gardening shears back into the tool chest before heading toward the drawing room.
