Cain sat perched on the edge of the city wall, brushing back his disheveled black hair as he looked down below.

Cain pressed firmly against the spot where his left eye used to be and shifted his gaze toward the Lily Palace.

It was quite late, so the palace lay dark, and no suspicious figures moved nearby.

‘I wonder if she’s sleeping well.’
