Daniel snatched the blue amethyst orb summoned by Mushila and sneered. Then he began licking the orb. Tilting his head back, he opened his mouth wide and started shoving Mushila’s amethyst orb inside, swallowing it bit by bit.

Mushila watched until the very end as her blue amethyst orb vanished. Murmuring, “Thank you, amethyst orb,” she slowly closed her eyes.

Lorencia could only stare helplessly at the scene unfolding beyond her reach. She knew what came next all too well. The scene before her eyes shifted.

Following Daniel, Mushila became the concubine of House of Count Paul Heredian and was scorned by all. Trapped in a tower prepared by the count’s household, she witnessed her own birth.

She also watched as Mushila raised her with love equal to the longing she held for Cain, the man she loved. Mushila clasped around Lorencia’s neck a necklace made from a hidden fragment of amethyst and embraced her tightly. That day remained unforgettable for Lorencia as well.

Mushila wiped away tears and softly called out Cain’s name. She endlessly whispered love into the face of her sleeping child and sang sweet lullabies.

At the moment the amethyst fragment in the jewel box resonated with the amethyst pendant around Lorencia’s neck, light burst forth. Magus and Teishar shut their eyes against the brilliant radiance.

“Lady Lorencia.”

Still with eyes closed, Teishar tightly gripped Lorencia’s hand. The light pouring out was so blinding he couldn’t open his eyes. Fortunately, the brilliant light quickly faded, and Teishar began checking on Lorencia.

Seeing that Lorencia’s violet eyes had lost their focus, Teishar immediately pulled her into his arms. Though he knew the amethyst fragments couldn’t harm her, her unfocused gaze filled him with unease.

“Father, Lady Lorencia isn’t even blinking.”

Teishar examined Lorencia’s face, hugged her, then examined her face again. Holding her motionless in his arms, he prayed to Goddess Ella, fervently wishing for Lorencia’s consciousness to return quickly.

Hours passed while Lorencia remained lost in a daze. Teishar, who had been watching her face intently, finally noticed her violet eyes regaining focus.
