Teishar sadly watched Lorencia, who was being pointed at as a monster, not even knowing who she truly was or what kind of being she was. It was now certain—he had indeed used his power unconsciously.

“You did very well.”

Teishar was too upset to even speak. The young sapling, still enveloped in black smoke, had only its roots alive. Yet, if the black smoke descended even slightly more, those roots would soon turn black and rot away.

His heart grew restless. He felt like he was going mad.
