Luans stared at the drawing room door. Lavish and elegant decorations came into view. The head butler opened the door to the drawing room. Luans stepped inside and looked toward the large sofa and table. The table was spacious, adorned with exquisite ornaments and beautifully arranged, charming flowers in an elegant vase.

Around the table stood cabinets, shelves, ornate lighting, and an assortment of artworks, sculptures, and decorations.

It was a splendid, spacious, and well-decorated drawing room.

Seated on the sofa, Luans sighed deeply at the thought of finally meeting Lorencia. Strangely, his heart began to race. He didn’t know why it was pounding so, but he was certain this moment was exactly what he had longed for.

He stared blankly at the drawing room door. Then, hearing a knock, Luans sprang up from his seat as if a toppled roly-poly toy had suddenly righted itself.

Blondie and the maid in charge of hair began meticulously braiding Lorencia’s long, voluminous red locks, putting in care as though crafting a work of art. They secured her hair with pins, twisted it upward, and delicately placed ornamental hairpieces crafted from pearls and tiny diamonds.

“I’ll go fetch your dress.”
