I had to send them even knowing there were traps. So I gave them lots of magic items imbued with attack and protection spells.
“I can only pray for their safety.”
Welson and Abrelina heaved deep sighs. They even felt resentful that Goddess Ella was giving such great trials to those she loved.
“Elder sister will be well protected by Viscount Teishar, grandfather.”
Mark said to Welson.
“I know he will protect her well, but I have a strangely bad feeling.”
“Stop sighing. It will be fine.”
“Alright. I will.”
However, not long after Welson sighed, they heard news of Lorencia’s abduction from Count Ania’s tea party. His bad feeling had been accurate. The worst thing they had hoped wouldn’t happen had occurred.
“I’m going to meet Her Majesty the Queen. The Di Glosten family will immediately begin the war against the White Snake.”
Not preparation, but the start of war.
Poloid had already finished war preparations.
Many empires could not understand Poloid and the Isuter Empire declaring war on the Temple of Goddess Ella.
The ones who persuaded the empires that did not understand were Adolf and Benedict.
They acknowledged that it was not a war against the Temple of Goddess Ella, but a war to capture the witch called White Snake Saraf.
People were outraged by the fact that the evil witch Saraf had pretended to be the Great Saint, the messenger of Goddess Ella, and committed all sorts of evil deeds in the Temple of Goddess Ella.
Led by the two empires of Poloid and Isuter, they acknowledged the declaration of war against the White Snake in the Temple of Goddess Ella. They formed an alliance to defeat the White Snake.
As soon as the war against the White Snake was declared, White Snake Saraf was completely imprinted in people’s minds as an evil witch and an ominous being.
[This is the timeline separator]The place where Musila lived is not far from the Spencer Viscounty residence, located in the Konrad Valley.
Teishar had also visited the place when he was very young, he was told. According to his father Magus, they used to visit frequently, but he couldn’t remember.
He had a conversation with Magus before the war with the White Snake.
Is there nothing else besides being able to see the tree of Ella’s child as the Black Snake of the Earth?
What Teishar needed right now was the power to eliminate the White Snake and protect Lorencia. But no matter how much he thought and craved for a method, he couldn’t even know the White Snake’s weakness.
He knows they probably can’t win. But he has no intention of giving up the fight. He swore that if Lorencia falls off a cliff, he would fall with her.
Even if he falls off a cliff with her, he has no intention of resenting her. For a knight, dying while protecting a loved one or fighting alongside comrades is an honorable death.
He doesn’t know how the war with the White Snake will turn out. But there’s one thing he can say with confidence. That he can meet a death that is not shameful as a knight.
Teishar, riding a black horse, rushed out with a terrifying momentum. The Spencer family’s knights also followed behind him.
He should join with other forces and lead the knights and troops, but there wasn’t enough time. Instead, they had already set up a supply point in the middle of the river that extends to Mount Konrad.
Even as he rode, Teishar kept tapping the earcuff in his ear, desperately calling Lorencia’s nickname and praying that his voice would reach her.
He was anxious that the White Snake might have taken Lorencia somewhere else or disappeared altogether. So he inwardly prayed and prayed that everything had gone according to her plan.
After riding for a while, when he finally heard her voice through the earcuff, Teishar heaved a big sigh of relief that she had not been eaten by the White Snake or taken elsewhere.
“Please wait a little longer, Roa.”
Even though he heard her voice, Teishar was too anxious to bear it and pulled on the horse’s reins even harder.
The knights following Teishar were momentarily bewildered when they saw him suddenly turn into the forest, but they followed him without a word.
He cut through the forest to arrive faster. As his horse galloped, birds in the forest flew away and animals fled.
He wouldn’t have done this normally, but that’s how anxious Teishar’s heart was.
Thanks to their fierce gallop, Teishar and the knights soon arrived at the Konrad Valley. Now if they follow the river stream a bit more, Musila’s cabin will be visible.
“From now on, we will engage in battle with the White Snake, who is extremely evil, vile, and unclean.”
Teishar drew his sword and raised it high in the sky.
“We may lose our lives today. But even if we lose our lives, we will not lose our pride as knights.”
At his cry, the following knights also raised their swords and followed behind Teishar.
Pelena approached Lorencia standing in front of the cabin.
“Lorencia. Child of Ella with purple eyes.”
Pelena called Lorencia in an ice-cold voice.
“Is the reason you lured me to this place perhaps because you saw in the future that I die here?”
From her words, Lorencia was certain. That Teishar had come here.
And she also realized that there was something Pelena couldn’t do, but she could.
“If you’re curious about the future, you’ll know if you watch it unfold.”
Pelena cannot know the future. But she herself has the power to see the future. Of course, lately her power to see the future has changed subtly bit by bit, but White Snake Pelena, who has no way of knowing this fact, will have no choice but to be wary of her.
“I don’t know what future you saw, but I am a goddess. I am the White Snake. I will never disappear. I mean I will become an inevitable existence in this world.”
Lorencia nodded and raised the corners of her mouth.
“That’s right. The White Snake is destined to become an inevitable existence in this world.”
At Lorencia’s words, Pelena recalled what Ella had said to her before she disappeared.
“If you’re so curious, I’ll tell you about the near future first. He will arrive soon.”
“Who’s arriving?”
As soon as Lorencia finished speaking, a strong wind blew.
The flag with the image of a black snake wrapping around a tree, symbolizing the Spencer family, fluttered in the wind.
Knights on horseback surrounded the White Snake and Lorencia standing in front of the cabin.
Lorencia bit her lower lip, her joy at Teishar’s arrival momentarily forgotten. The White Snake was in an angry state now, so it was too dangerous.
As the infantry parted, Teishar came forward on his black horse, and the mounted knights lined up behind him.
Lorencia watched the scene nervously.
She could feel that Teishar’s face had worsened a lot in the short time they hadn’t seen each other.
His jet-black hair fluttered in the wind. Seeing him frowning, she could clearly imagine how surprised and distressed he must have been when he learned of her abduction.
“I don’t know how you knew to come, but it’s certain that you insignificant beings have dared to trick this White Snake.”
When Teishar spotted Lorencia, he unconsciously gripped the reins of his horse. Then, with an even more serious face than before, he opened his mouth towards Pelena.
“Hand over the child of Goddess Ella. Evil witch White Snake.”
Teishar said in a loud voice.
“We will never forgive the sin of trying to disrupt this world.”
“Did you just say forgiveness? You, a human who is not even worth an insignificant insect, to me, a goddess? Questioning my sins?”
Pelena’s eyes narrowed.
“I’ll kill you all today.”
As Pelena’s venomous voice echoed around, the horses the knights were riding foamed at the mouth and collapsed on the spot. Not only the horses, but some knights who were scared also fainted along with their horses, but Teishar gripped his sword tighter without showing any sign of fear.
Black smoke flickered and rose from both of Pelena’s hands. Teishar was determined to fight back somehow. His desire to protect Lorencia was greater than the fear the White Snake instilled.
“Do you know what happens to insects that don’t know their place? They get crushed to death.”
Pelena said in a hard voice and then pulled Lorencia’s red hair.
“Ugh.”
She let out a painful groan at her hair being suddenly pulled. Pelena then brought her sharp nails to Lorencia’s neck.
“Say it again, Black Snake.”
Teishar was instantly engulfed in a feeling of despair. He clenched his fists and glared at Pelena, who had taken Lorencia hostage. A cold silence fell.
And the one who first broke the current quiet silence was Lorencia.
“If you kill me, you’ll never be able to find the location of the water of life.”
“No, I’ll kill you and kill all the humans in this world. Except for the young children.”
Pelena twisted her lips and spoke without showing any sign of wavering at Lorencia’s words.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
