“Elder brother Leanid. How did you know I was here and come to find me?”
Lorencia asked with delight at Leanid’s sudden appearance.
“I came to the capital for a brief matter and heard in the square that a red-haired goddess was accompanying Duke Spencer, so I came to see. As expected, it was Lorencia.”
Leanid naturally inserted himself between Teishar and Lorencia.
“Sir Leanid. It’s been a while.”
“It’s a pleasure to see you, Duke Spencer. However, I am no longer a knight. I officially became a viscount a few days ago.”
Leanid had thought Charlotte would resume the marriage talks upon returning from the Isuter Empire, but when she said she would not proceed with them, he immediately became a viscount.
“Elder brother Leanid became a viscount? Congratulations.”
“I’m even more delighted to receive congratulations from my younger sister.”
Leanid’s gaze met Teishar’s. A chilly air could be felt from his face.
“Are you not busy? Viscount Leanid.”
“No. I am not, Duke Spencer.”
Teishar’s smiling face paused for a moment. He had a bad feeling that their date would be interrupted.
“As you can see, Roa and I are in the middle of a date.”
“I knew you were on a date when I came.”
Ah, bad feelings always prove to be accurate.
“Following your younger sister on a date is not a good look, Viscount Leanid.”
“If you understood even a little of an elder brother’s heart for his younger sister, you wouldn’t mind such things, Duke Spencer.”
“Unfortunately, as I do not have a younger sister, I cannot understand Viscount Leanid’s heart at all.”
He had no desire to understand it until his dying day.
Sparks seemed to fly from the gazes Leanid and Teishar exchanged as they stared at each other.
“How did you hear about where I was, elder brother?”
“About that.”
It was when Leanid was exchanging various information with the guild master of a renowned information guild in the capital.
Someone who appeared to be a guild member rushed in, out of breath, and upon hearing what he said, Leanid couldn’t possibly remain still from his perspective.
Leanid couldn’t laugh off the guild member’s words. No matter how much he thought about it, the woman the guild member spoke of could only be Lorencia.
Hearing about the two of them dating suddenly made irritation well up inside him. He understood they were lovers out on a date. But why was he feeling so irritated?
The street near the capital’s square was a place frequented by many nobles as well. He dared to kiss her in such a crowded place?
It wasn’t an issue he could just overlook.
Guild Master Jeron tilted his head quizzically.
Leanid handed Jeron a document.
As soon as Leanid left the information guild, he headed straight for the square. Finding Teishar and Lorencia was easy. The gazes of all the nobles were focused in one direction.
Seeing Teishar attending to Lorencia with a delighted expression, Leanid felt pleased yet also strangely irritated. This seemed to be the heart of an elder brother with a younger sister.
He liked Lorencia that much. If he didn’t like her, he wouldn’t care who she dated.
“I was at the information guild in the capital.”
“The information guild?”
“The movements of the Isuter Empire seemed unusual, so I was looking into various things and stopped by the information guild to have tea with the master while taking care of some business.”
Guild Master Jeron read the document Leanid had handed him and slammed it down with a bang!
Having never seen a change in Jeron’s expression before, Leanid was a little surprised by his urgent demeanor, seen for the first time.
The epidemic that swept through the Poloid Empire 30 years ago. The person who saved people from that epidemic was none other than Musilla.
People apparently kept their mouths shut because the Ella Church had many devoted followers, and opposing them would lead to ruin.
Without agreeing or denying it.
Leanid felt a bitter sensation. After directly meeting Lorencia, the more he learned about Musilla, the more he realized she was truly a righteous person. She especially healed the sick and injured.
The more he dug, the more he found nothing but good deeds about her. So why was the Ella Church so eager to devour Musilla? The Ella Church persistently accused Musilla of being a witch and went to great lengths to tarnish her reputation.
They made people doubt Musilla’s kindness. Why on earth would they do that?
Even though Musilla was the child of the Goddess Ella, she was labeled a witch and couldn’t be with the Ella Church. Leanid grew increasingly curious about the reason.
And after meeting Lorencia, he became worried.
Once it was announced that Lorencia would be the duke’s adopted daughter of House di Gloston and it became known she was Musilla’s daughter, the Ella Church was sure to make a move. Just like with Musilla, they might spread all sorts of malicious rumors and even hold a witch trial.
‘I have to stop it.’
Leanid stroked Lorencia’s hair. He absolutely couldn’t let her follow in Musilla’s footsteps. He had to protect his family.
“Lorencia will soon be registered as the duke’s adopted daughter of House di Gloston. When that happens, people will request information about Lorencia from the information guild.”
“Yes.”
Lorencia nodded.
“Before others find out information about Lorencia, we’ll provide accurate information about her to the information guild first. Then those who wanted the information will purchase it.”
“Is it okay to sell information like that?”
“Except for the imperial family, nobles register their basic personal information with the information guild.”
The biggest reason for uploading public profiles and information to the information guild was to allow families who purchased the information to check in advance what kind of family they were.
“I thought the information guild was a secretive place, but it’s unexpectedly not.”
“So how did you upload Lorencia’s information?”
Teishar naturally joined the conversation between the two.
“I uploaded it ordinarily.”
The corners of Leanid’s eyes curved beautifully like crescents. His eyes were smiling, but not a hint of laughter could be seen in his pupils.
“I heard some details from Lady Abrelina, so I’m aware of it as well.”
“Is that so?”
Abrelina gnashed her teeth, vowing not to leave House Pol Heredian’s estate alone. For the sake of Lorencia’s honor, it would be best if the fact that she was confined in House Pol Heredian’s estate remained unknown, but Lorencia had already been registered and made known as the adopted daughter of House Pol Heredian in the Isuter Empire.
When Lorencia wished, House di Gloston planned to officially send a statement to Ruans, requesting the cancellation of Lorencia’s status as the adopted daughter of House Pol Heredian in the Isuter Empire.
“Lorencia.”
“Yes, elder brother.”
“Just remember this.”
“Please tell me.”
“The people of House di Gloston never pay attention to rat pups hiding in mouse holes and crying.”
People would praise Lorencia’s beautiful appearance while whispering behind her back about her life as an illegitimate child in House Pol Heredian’s estate. That’s why Leanid had asked Baello to quickly promote him to viscount.
“All rats can do is hide in mouse holes, squeaking and crying. But would a rat cry in front of a predator? No, rats can’t even make a sound in front of predators.”
If anyone spoke ill of Lorencia, Leanid intended to thoroughly crush them under the name of House di Gloston.
“If we don’t hunt them, won’t the rats multiply? Wouldn’t it be most efficient to catch them before they breed?”
“Rats breed as fast as rabbits, so even if you catch them, they keep coming out. So just leave the rats that can’t even squeak in front of you and the ones crying in mouse holes alone. After all, the rats that squeak loudly will be the first to be caught and killed by cats.”
Leanid spoke while blatantly looking at Teishar.
“Because dead rats don’t cry.”
Lorencia smiled at Leanid and nodded.
She understood what he was talking about now. That once it became known that she, already known as the illegitimate child of House Pol Heredian, had suddenly become the duke’s adopted daughter of House di Gloston, there would be talk here and there in high society. That he had uploaded her information to the information guild in advance to prevent that.
“No matter how much the rats squeak and cry, I won’t try hard to catch them. Come to think of it, I shouldn’t take away what cats should do just because I’m bothered by rats.”
“My younger sister is both thoughtful and smart.”
Leanid smiled with satisfaction.
“Then I should get going now.”
“What? Already?”
“I can’t interfere with your date any longer. We’ll meet and talk every day once you come to the mansion soon.”
“Yes, elder brother.”
Leanid got up from his seat and lightly kissed the back of Lorencia’s hand.
“See you later, elder brother.”
“Yes, Lorencia.”
Leanid’s gaze met Teishar’s red eyes.
“Duke Spencer.”
Teishar stopped in his tracks and couldn’t view the returning Leanid with a kind gaze.
“The name of the cat my younger sister is raising……”
Leanid asked in a low voice only Teishar could hear.
“It’s Leo.”
“There must be another one.”
Teishar laughed. Leanid took after Abrelina.
“That cat is not just an ordinary cat like Leo.”
Abrelina thought of herself as a gardener protecting the flower garden that was Lorencia, while Leanid seemed to think of himself as a cat that would catch and kill rats noisily chattering about Lorencia.
But it didn’t matter. For the sake of his beloved Lorencia, he could become a gardener. Or a cat.
He was confident he could take on an even greater role.
If it meant he could protect her……
As much as needed.
“It’s a feline predator.”
Leanid left with a satisfied smile.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
