Immediately, the man pointed beyond the bushes. There, a member of the Imperial Guard—one Lynette hadn’t noticed—had just arrived and was lighting a cigarette.

Lynette looked back at the man who still held her mouth shut. Now that she thought about it, he was someone she’d occasionally seen at the mercenary camp. But what was his name again?

Just as she sank into deep thought, the guard finished smoking, flicked away his cigarette butt, and walked back to his post.
