Damian returned to the place where the departure ceremony had been held and immediately began searching for Earl Shannon.

Following the nobles’ directions, Damian spotted Earl Shannon and instantly drove his fist straight into the man’s face.

With a single punch from Damian, Jared flew backward and crashed to the ground.

Shock spread across the faces of the nobles, but Damian couldn’t care less about the departure ceremony or anything else.

On the floor, Jared winced and groaned, clutching his bruised cheek.

Damian strode over without hesitation and yanked Jared up by the collar from where he lay sprawled on the ground.

Shrieks erupted from the surrounding nobles, and whispers began circulating about whether someone ought to intervene—but none of it reached Damian’s ears.

Their eyes met midair. Jared stared back at Damian but said nothing.

He didn’t ask why Damian had resorted to violence—it almost seemed as if he were willingly accepting punishment through Damian’s fists for his own wrongdoing.

Damian gladly obliged by striking Jared’s face again.

Once more, Damian’s fist slammed hard into Jared’s face.

Jared collapsed onto the floor again, his lip split open and blood trickling steadily from his nose.

Unconcerned by Jared’s ghastly appearance, Damian reached down again to grab the collar of the man seated dazedly on the floor.

This time, the surrounding nobles stepped forward to stop Damian.
