I Think My Daughter Has Regressed (7 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 64
“I saw you bump into Earl Shannon in the hallway. Rumors among the nobles speculating about you and Earl Shannon could easily start circulating.”
Ariel’s pupils trembled as she looked at Damian.
Tears gathered beneath her fluttering lashes, yet Damian stared back at her coldly, his expression unyielding.
“You suddenly appeared in the imperial palace and kissed me. I needed to leave right away, and in my haste, I collided with him. Earl Shannon shielded me from the nobles when I was disheveled. Are you seriously suggesting that just because he placed his outer coat over my head, rumors about us would spread?”
“Are you defending Earl Shannon to me right now?”
“…Damian?”
Ariel frowned, bewildered by his complete lack of comprehension.
She couldn’t believe it.
He, who always analyzed situations with cool rationality… was now throwing such an absurd retort at her!
“Especially now—when attention is already focused on Genova due to the kidnapping, the rebellion, and Bruno’s affair—rumors speculating about you and Earl Shannon could easily arise. You must be cautious. If groundless scandals start circulating, it could tarnish your standing as Duchess of Genova…”
Slap!
Ariel struck out with her palm.
Though Damian was the one hit, tears immediately spilled from Ariel’s eyes.
“Before I’m the Duchess of Genova, I am still a woman. I’ll protect my honor as a woman myself—you needn’t voice such insulting concerns.”
“…Insult?”

One-line summary: Male lead chases female lead. The male lead’s love is a bit sick, an invincible love brain.
Synopsis
During a voyage at sea, Jiang Yang accidentally captures a merman.
Servant: I heard that mermen are fierce and brutal.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman obediently rubbing her palm like a puppy: “You call this fierce and brutal?”
Servant: I heard that mermen have no human nature.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman with wet puppy eyes, obsessively calling her ‘A Yang’ like a childish infant: “You call this having no human nature?”
With great difficulty, she releases the merman back into the sea and returns to shore.
Who would have thought that in less than half a month, the merman, who should have been freely wandering in the South China Sea, would shed his scales, endure the pain of losing his tail, transform into human legs, and come ashore to find her?
He kneels at her feet, rubbing her palm, with merman tears rolling down: “A Yang, don’t abandon me.”

This is terribly cliché and idiotic but istg, the light reflecting off my phone made the appear as ‘Dick Damien’ and I was momentarily taken aback with the honesty.
Eeeeyeah buddy no. This isn’t “furrowed brow” territory. You nuked that when you demanded those records.
I am expecting seven years worth of groveling, at the minimum.
