For the sake of the people, it was an incredibly ordinary day that was etched in their minds.
The time when the bitter winter was ending, and the green sprouts signaling the arrival of spring were budding everywhere.
The people of the Duchy of Donovan, known as the ark of the North, were busy preparing to welcome the true beginning of the year.
There were also minor but important agendas related to the planned visit to the empire that spring at the ministerial meeting.
That is… until the bombshell announcement by the Duke of Donovan, namely Hades Croitner.
“I plan to marry Saint Angelica and return in August. Let’s start the necessary preparations.”
The Duke’s bombshell announcement was not only surprising to the ministers.
The party concerned, I, Angelica, was very surprised.
Now, who is getting married?
I stared at Hades, who was sitting across from me.

I couldn’t outright say what nonsense this was in an official setting, but I still hoped my dumbfounded feelings were well conveyed.
Fortunately, Hades did not avoid my gaze.
‘Tell me it’s a joke, quickly!’
Despite my wish, a small fanfare rang out, and pink letters appeared on his chest.
Love 100 (Prisoner of Love)
Status Explanation: He has become a prisoner of Cupid! His decision, now completely blinded by love, cannot be stopped even by the Creator.
It’s over.
I clenched my eyes shut.
‘I took care not to raise my love level just in case!’
To suddenly declare marriage without even slowly raising affection.

The ministers will certainly oppose it.
Choosing a commoner saint of uncertain origin as the Duchess, that is.
Weak in body and lacking in divine power, she had never shown a proper miracle.
There is even a record of her having posed as the government.
‘I would oppose it if I were the ministers.’
But Hades, blinded by love, will push for the marriage, so the aftermath was clear.
‘What did I do wrong?’
Should I not have accepted a goodnight kiss?
Or should I not have said that I would invite the poet he pretended not to care about but actually liked very much?
Or maybe not…

“Great idea, Your Grace!”
Huh?
I blinked my eyes.
I thought I would definitely hear a voice of opposition first, but I heard a shout of approval.
I briefly doubted my ears.
‘Is he flattering? Was there a minister in the North good enough to flatter Hades?’
My head turned to where the sound came from.
‘Huh?’
Unexpectedly, the minister who clapped loudly in approval was a smart young man who always spoke rightly to Hades.
I thought I was popular with the younger ones, so it wasn’t completely unexpected…

“Oh, this old man is so happy that Your Grace has found a suitable match. I will do my best to prepare.”
Even the stern old man who served the previous Duke in his youth said the same.
The other ministers were the same.
“I’m fine with it too. If it’s the saint, she will lead our Donovan wonderfully with Your Grace.”
“I’m looking forward to the wedding! I will prepare thoroughly enough to be proud of it compared to any country’s national marriage.”
“I’m glad to have a wise person like the saint as the Duchess.”
Um… Are you all not opposed?
While engulfed in this question…
“Angelica.”
Hades, who had risen from his seat at some point, looked at me directly.

I admit it.
My eyes are not low.
Hades Croitner was a very handsome man.
Black hair scattered over a forehead carved like marble, deep purple eyes filled with excellence, sharp nose and jawline…
That handsome face broke into a wide smile.
“I realized I should have asked you something first.”
I breathed a sigh of relief.
It seemed that Hades finally realized what he had overlooked.
Yes, my opinion.
“Where would you like to go for our honeymoon?”

“Honeymoon location…….”
I repeated Hades’s words blankly.
“Yes.”
Hades nodded his head.
“And since the Imperial Little Academy has high competition, it would be wise to send a letter in advance to secure a spot.”
A confident smile appeared on Hades’s face.
He had not yet finished speaking.
“Our children should only receive the best education.”
I thought, receiving somewhat sympathetic glances from the officials.
What in the world…
How did it come to this?

So, all of this started when just one game was released.
[Legend of Delato]Shortened to Leodel.
An ordinary RPG game where the virtuous protagonist gathers comrades, defeats various villains, and ultimately takes down the final boss.
A new release from a global game company that always scores big hits, with a presale volume of 10 million copies.
Upon its release, gamers all over the world rushed into a frantic competition to clear it.
The reason was simple.
The world’s first user to clear Leodel at its highest difficulty would receive the strongest item known as ‘Eye of Hell.’
Not only in Leodel but also an ultraspecial item usable in any game released by the company.

It’s just a tiny piece of data, you say?
Think again.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
