Lucena was about to look around when, with a sudden gust of wind, a loud thud echoed through the air.

Matian, having swiftly entered the bathroom, pinned Chad against the wall and restrained him.

Just as Matian was about to drive his fist into Chad, a water pillar surged from the floor, coiling tightly around his limbs and instantly freezing solid, halting his movement completely.

His arms and legs were now trapped in ice.

“Since you managed to stop me, your spell incantation must be faster than last time, Chad.”

Matian’s tone as he praised Chad was gentle, yet contradicting his words, the veins bulging on the back of his ice-bound hand twitched violently.

“My incantation has always been fast. I just read your killing intent a bit quicker this time.”

“Oh, right. I did make it obvious I was angry the moment I stepped through the door.”

Blue aura crackled over his frozen fist, fracturing the ice with a sharp creak, and Matian completed the attack he hadn’t finished earlier.

Boom! The bathroom wall crumpled deeply where his fist struck, tiles shattering into fragments.

Chad barely avoided the blow by tilting his head sharply to the side, but a long gash appeared along the trajectory of the aura that grazed past his skin.

Seeing the blood when he touched the wound, Chad’s eyes widened in shock.

“Kyaaah! Help me! Please save me!”

Mimicking a woman’s voice just as he had done moments ago with Lucena, Chad played an annoying prank.

Matian, clearly exasperated, raised an eyebrow, released his hold, and brushed his hands off dismissively.
