Randol, gripped by fear, was once again scanning his surroundings today.

He was deliberately taking a roundabout route through paths where cadets rarely passed, heading toward the college.

‘That bastard Matian has been watching Lucena Golden since way back. That’s why we keep bumping into each other.’

Chad could at least be avoided somehow, but once Matian made eye contact, it was nearly impossible to escape his relentless gaze.

Each time, Matian would greet him kindly first, yet Randol was terrified out of his wits.

‘Damn it, I just want to be alone with Lucena Golden, but those student council bastards make it impossible to get close. Even at dawn, that Matian keeps prowling around.’

Randol walked while biting down hard on his lower lip.

Just as his footsteps entered the shadow of a leaning building—

a pair of polished shoes suddenly appeared from the alley between buildings, and someone grabbed Randol by the back of his collar.

Helplessly, he was dragged into the alley by that grip.

“Ugh, who is it!”

Thud! Randol was thrown roughly onto the alley floor and pushed himself up with his hands. Right before him stood Matian.

“Hello, Randol? We seem to be seeing each other quite often lately.”

“M-Matian? Ugh!”
