I Received The Holy Sword By Dawn Delivery (4 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 1
Huh, hah!
The one dashing through the alleys this night, fleeing from the guards, was Lucena, a student at Saint Officer Academy.
At first glance—her short platinum hair just brushing her ears and her attire in trousers—she seemed nearly masculine…
‘I thought I was finally getting used to this transmigrated world!’
She was merely cross-dressing out of necessity. In truth, she had never been male, neither in her past life nor in this one—she was undeniably a woman.
How on earth had she ended up like this? Lucena gritted her teeth. It was all because of that Holy Sword she’d received via Kupang’s dawn delivery service. She’d merely opened the parcel, and suddenly found herself transmigrated into another world.
‘Damn this accursed Holy Sword!’
Lucena clenched the circular pendant hanging around her neck with all her remaining strength as she ran for her life.
This was no ordinary pendant—it was the legendary Holy Sword, said to be drawable only by a chosen hero, now transformed into this very trinket.
‘If I keep holding onto this, the true owner of the Holy Sword will surely kill me.’
Thus, under cover of night while everyone slept, she had come here to return the Holy Sword—delivered by parcel—to its rightful place, only to be spotted by the guards.
At this rate, she’d be branded a thief of the Holy Sword. If caught, would they sentence her to death?
Just then, the Holy Sword sent her a telepathic message.
「Master’s heart rate is rising sharply. However, your current speed is utterly inadequate. Detection by the pursuer in 12 seconds.」
Shut up, you damn Holy Sword!
It felt as though her blood boiled in her veins. She wanted nothing more than to give up right here—but being executed for stealing the Holy Sword was simply out of the question.
「Target’s speed has increased. Revising countdown. 8 seconds remaining.」
They’d already caught up this quickly?
‘What should I do now?’
In desperation, Lucena decided to rely once more on the Holy Sword.
She could exchange telepathic commands with it using specific keywords—functioning much like a smartphone’s artificial intelligence.
‘High Vizbi, find me an escape route.’
Ah, yes—even the name was absurdly similar. What terrible naming sense! It almost felt as if a familiar blue logo were embedded right at the core of this Holy Sword.
「With your current speed, escape is impossible. 5 seconds remaining.」
‘High Vizbi, then find me a place to hide.’
「Destination located. Turn right 10 meters ahead. 4 seconds remaining.」
Following the Holy Sword’s guidance, Lucena swerved into the alley 10 meters ahead.
「2 seconds remaining.」
Just where exactly was she supposed to hide?!
「1 second remaining.」
At that instant—thud. A massive arm wrapped firmly around Lucena’s body.
‘Wh-who are you? I sensed no presence at all!’
Lucena raised her head to get a look at her rescuer, but all she could see was an imposing height and a broad back.
The stranger shielded Lucena’s small frame completely behind his own body.
「0 seconds remaining.」
“Huff, huff! I’m certain he ran down this alley!”
It was the voice of the guard chasing Lucena.
Terrified, Lucena held her breath and pressed her forehead against the stranger’s broad back.
Through their contact, a voice resonated against her skin.
“What’s going on?”
The voice was low, steady—and eerily familiar.
“I’m Maurice from the guard corps. I had no idea Prince Matian was here.”
Matian Wiegartz.
The top student of Lucena’s officer academy and the sole heir of the Grand Duke Wiegartz family.
And a man who loathed hearing the same words repeated twice.
“You were asked why a guard is here.”
Matian’s voice—usually warm and gentle by default—now carried a chilling frost, sharp enough to cut like winter ice. Was it because of me?
Startled by this unfamiliar side of him, the guard stammered a panicked reply and even bit his tongue.
“Th-th-there was an intruder at the Hall of Honor, where the Holy Sword was embedded! We thought the thief might return to the crime scene, so I pursued—but lost him.”
At those words, Lucena gulped hard.

‘It wasn’t me who took the Holy Sword! I just received it through dawn delivery!’
But who would ever believe that?
Especially not Prince Matian—who, by all rights, should have been the Holy Sword’s rightful owner. He’d be the last person to believe her.
If she spoke up now, he’d only grow more suspicious.
‘Damn it, High Vizbi! Why did you have to lead me right to this guy?!’
「It was the only viable location to evade the guard. Master’s heart rate remains elevated. For cardiovascular health, please perform three deep breaths. 0/3 completed.」
‘You heartless Holy Sword!’
Lucena clenched her molars and slowly inhaled.
If she failed to complete this obsessive-prince-like quest from the Holy Sword, more trouble would surely follow.
Huuu.
「Deep breath 1/3. You’re halfway there, Master. Heart rate decreasing.」
Huuu, huuu.
Each slow exhale from Lucena brushed against Matian’s back—causing the broad shoulders, previously engaged in conversation with the guard, to pause ever so slightly.
But Lucena was too preoccupied to notice.
「Deep breath 3/3. Objective complete. Master’s heart rate has stabilized. However, Matian Wiegartz’s heart rate is now rising.」
“Then I shall take my leave, Prince Matian.”
“Very well. Continue your patrols thoroughly from now on.”
Matian concluded his exchange with the guard and slowly turned around.
His raven-black hair swayed with the motion, parting briefly to reveal piercing blue eyes—cold and clear as a frostbitten lake.
With a sharp gaze, he swept every shadowed corner of the alley until his eyes locked onto Lucena.
“Now answer me, Lucena. Why were you being chased by the guards?”
“I-I just went out for a walk and unluckily got caught! I panicked and ran because I didn’t want to get in trouble for sneaking out past curfew!”
Though their social ranks differed, they were academy classmates, so Lucena spoke informally as she scrambled for an excuse.
“You have absolutely no connection to the Holy Sword that was embedded in the plaza?”
“O-of course not! How could the academy’s dead-last student possibly draw the Holy Sword? Only someone like you could pull it out as easily as a turnip.”
Heh, Lucena playfully tapped Matian’s bicep—then quickly pulled her hand back.
Ugh, rock-solid brute.
She reaffirmed her resolve once again: never, ever pick a fight with this guy.
“I suppose I do believe that. Yet… why do I keep finding you suspicious?”
His lips curved into what seemed like a gentle smile, yet an ominous aura seeped from Matian.
Lucena stiffened and took a step backward.
“S-suspicious? I told you, I was just out for a walk!”
“You? Out for a walk?”
“Well… uh, actually, I was… meeting a girl? Ha ha.”
She figured this flimsy excuse would be enough for him to let it slide—but strangely, Matian’s expression hardened even further.
Just then, the Holy Sword’s voice barged into her mind.
「Congratulations, Master!」
‘Does this situation look like one worthy of congratulations to you?’
「Matian Wiegartz, who failed to become the Holy Sword’s chosen, has shifted personality traits to “obsessive-prince type”—matching 91% of your preferred male archetype! Seduce him tonight and escape your lifelong single status!」
‘Shut it, Vizbi. Right now, that guy…’
Lucena lifted her gaze past the alley to the grand academy building looming in the distance.
Emblazoned proudly upon it were the words: “Cradle of Imperial Male Education.”
‘This is Saint Officer Academy—where only men may enroll.’
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
