The crows’ intrusion was faster than the people in the garden grabbing their heads and dashing into the banquet hall.

The music stopped, and the banquet hall instantly turned into chaos.

“Timothy! Finish closing the windows!”

“I’d like to, but the crows….”

Who doesn’t know that? You idiot. Sydney glared fiercely, smacking Timothy on the back of his head with her fan.

Intimidated by the crows, Timothy and his companions, who had frozen behind the window, flinched and stepped backward.

Even so, for soldiers of all people to lose their wits over something like this!

Sydney grabbed the collar of the most composed-looking man with sky-blue hair and barked,

“You three, help Timothy shut the windows! You, come with me to evacuate the guests.”

“Yes? Y-yes!”

She turned her back to Timothy and his comrade, who startledly clung to the window. The scene before her eyes was utter pandemonium.

Crows flapped wildly, pecking mercilessly at people’s heads, while men and women, young and old alike, crowded toward the entrance to the lounge, screaming in terror.

Still, it was somewhat fortunate that a few men, apparently Imperial soldiers, were fending off the crows by swinging their jackets.

“My lady, evacuating is out of the question—it’s impossible even to reach that entrance….”

“Are you truly a gentleman if all you do is complain without even trying?”
