There was still time left even after the opera performance had ended. Logan Redford took out a cigar, put it between his lips, and stepped out onto the balcony.

The clattering sound of carriage wheels rolled nearer and then faded into the distance.

As he lit the cigar and exhaled a long plume of smoke, he noticed a carriage slowly creeping toward him from afar.

Upon closer inspection, under the glow of a streetlamp stood two figures: the tall, black-haired man was unmistakably Steve De Niro, and the slim, red-haired figure was clearly Sydney.

“Hah.”

Logan flicked his fingers and discarded the half-smoked cigar. As Logan stepped into the elevator, Milo, who had followed behind, closed the door and pulled the lever.

The needle that had pointed to 5 slowly shifted toward 1.

With a clunk, the elevator stopped, and Milo slid the door open sideways.

Logan’s footsteps echoed through the quiet lobby. The moment he opened the front door, a cold gust of wind rushed over him.

The chill clashed with the anger and heat seething inside him, instantly igniting his irritation.

Logan Redford narrowed his eyes, scouring the darkness for the culprit responsible for this wretched feeling.

There he was—Steve De Niro—standing deliberately close to Sydney, as if to flaunt it.

For an instant, his blood boiled, and his heart pounded as if shouting, “She’s mine.”

He wanted nothing more than to sprint over and slam that bastard into the ground, but he clenched his jaw tightly and held back.
