As soon as Felix stepped completely outside the door, voices speaking in the distance became audible.

Leniel couldn’t quite identify the emotion she was feeling right now. She was deeply confused. Everything she feared was connected to Felix.

In truth, her greatest fear was of the pleasure he gave her—along with the shame it brought and the uncertainty of when she might die.

Yet, after two weeks, her fear of death had gradually lessened. It was clear Felix wasn’t killing her because he wanted something from her.

She didn’t know what it was, but since she hadn’t fulfilled it yet, that must be why he couldn’t bring himself to kill her.

Though she had grown somewhat detached, she still wished to prolong her life as much as possible—only then could she confirm whether Tanasis was alive or dead.

Until she resolved her guilt toward Tanasis, it felt as if she would live in agony forever.

She even believed this level of suffering was fair, considering she had intended to harm someone.

Leniel resolved that for now, she would obediently do as Felix desired, and began organizing the wardrobe.

The clothes were incredibly expensive, therefore heavy, and already carried her scent, giving off a familiar fragrance. Out of habit from her days as deputy chief steward, she neatly unfolded and hung them up.

“No ironing was done…”

She murmured that without even realizing it.

The fabric was so luxurious that despite not being ironed, the garments hung with crisp, sharp lines. In that brief moment, memories of serving as a steward here resurfaced, and she felt slightly comforted.

After finishing with the last garment, she closed the wardrobe door she had been inside.

With a soft *click*, silence once again settled over the room.
