“Sister couldn’t have lied, could she?” Aris said insinuatingly, to which Emmerun grumbled.

“That girl wouldn’t have the wit to lie. Unless something difficult happened… Wait a minute.”

Her eyes shifted, revealing overt greed. For a moment, I didn’t understand what she meant.

“Maybe she received something separately.”

Emmerun’s eyes were filled with avarice.

‘Ah, I see. That’s it?’

She thought I had extorted jewels or something from the prince.

‘How can she think something so low?’

I hadn’t expected this.

While I might not know about other things, her negatively-used imagination certainly astonished me.

I glanced at Hubert, who hadn’t said a word. He was still engrossed in his newspaper.

What was he thinking?

As his silence prolonged, the chill surrounding me grew thicker.

Aris and Emmerun’s attitudes were bearable, but Hubert’s thoughts concerned me.

I continued to watch Hubert. Finally, after reading the last word, he lifted his head.
At that moment, Hubert called out to me. My faded memories faded into the back of my consciousness, and the sight of the first floor awash in the blue light of dawn came into view.

Hubert asked me cautiously, “Are you okay?”

I tilted my head, feigning confusion at his question, “Of course. Everyone’s up early. Did you have a chat this morning?”

I asked casually, as if I had just returned from a brief walk. The people exchanged glances.

Aris scrutinized me with suspicion, “We were waiting for you, sister. Are you really okay?”

“You were waiting for me? Did something happen? I might have read a bit long in the library, but there’s nothing to worry about.”

I smoothly recited my prepared lines, causing Aris to frown, “Wait, what do you mean by that?”

Then:

Heeeeing!

The sound of a horse’s whinny came from outside. Georgiana, drenched in sweat, hurriedly entered and quickly bowed under everyone’s stern gazes.

Jenny followed, standing stiffly. It seemed she had a hard time keeping Georgiana at bay in the library, as her exhaustion was evident.

Observing my composed self and the flustered Georgiana, Aris narrowed her eyes.

“Why are you so late?” she demanded, her voice chilly.

“You came after sister, did you get lost?”

It wasn’t a real question but a veiled reprimand.

Georgiana’s face turned pale, “Yes. I’m sorry.”

“What are you talking about? You really got lost?”

Aris laughed coldly, but her laughter stopped as soon as she realized Georgiana’s expression hadn’t changed.

“Where?”

“In the library,” Georgiana replied in a barely audible whisper.

“Getting lost in the library, such a foolish mistake…”

Aris paused, then tilted her head, “Wait, then you must have seen sister there?”

“Uh?” Georgiana looked up suddenly. Emmerun joined in, “Didn’t you ask if she saw Eigrain in the library?”

“I saw her until just before that,” Georgiana replied, almost screaming.

“What do you mean by that?”

“I saw her reading in the library, but she disappeared while I looked away for a moment…”

I couldn’t help but smirk.

Aris gave me a triumphant look, “Really? Disappeared midway? Strange. Sister said she was in the library all night.”

Emmerun chimed in, “Indeed strange.”

“Sister couldn’t have lied, could she?” Aris said insinuatingly, to which Emmerun grumbled.

“That girl wouldn’t have the wit to lie. Unless something difficult happened… Wait a minute.”

Male lead is reincarnated to save his wife

I’ve also read this one twice already. The female lead is kinda soft and gets embarrassed easily—not really my type, but the plot is definitely worth reading. Hurry up and read it, y’all!

Intro

When Shen Yuan encountered Su Jin again in his previous life, she had already become the Prime Minister of the current dynasty. As for him, the former top young master of the capital, he had long since fallen into the abyss, becoming a singer on a pleasure boat.

After a song ended, he was redeemed and sent to the Su Residence.

Su Jin respected and cherished him, gave him a roof over his head, and bestowed him with warmth. Shen Yuan fell deeper and deeper, but before he could express his feelings, Su Jin passed away.

Shen Yuan died to follow her in death, but instead, he returned to when he was fifteen years old.

At that time, he was not yet engaged, and Su Jin was just a poor scholar.

Shen Yuan gritted his teeth, casting aside all his pride, and thought of ways to coax and entice her every day.

The colder and more indifferent Su Jin was towards him, the more proactive Shen Yuan became.

He was not afraid of being mocked by the world, only wanting to marry his Wife-master early, to hold her hand and never let go for a lifetime.

[Note: This story will not specifically point out the male lead’s reincarnation time point; it’s all in the details. Whenever you feel that the male lead is acting strangely, he has most likely been reincarnated.]
