I Just Raised Men for Revenge - Chapter 1

“Ted. I don’t believe in love.”

‘Even so, I fell in love with you. Is that okay? Am I… allowed to love you?’

The silver hair faintly touched Sesenia’s fingertips. The man knelt down and pressed his cheek against her hand. It wasn’t just the touch on her fingertips that tickled. His eyes were moist with tears. Despite his large frame, he desperately yearned for her.

“Then instead of love, please possess me. I can do anything for you. So, my master. Please fully possess me now.”

“No. I’ve used you enough.”

“No. Please use me more. Break me down. Make it so that you become the final destination for me who has nowhere else to go.”

“No…”

“Are you trying to abandon me? After saving me, are you now trying to abandon me? Why? Why?”

Sesenia slowly released his hand. But his long fingers dug between Sesenia’s fingers. As if trying to interlock them somehow. Her heart grew complicated at the sight of the scarred hand entwining like a vine around her snow-white hand.

“I’m not abandoning you. We’re realizing our places. Ted. I was only trying to raise you as emperor to use you.”

“Then you no longer need to use me?”

“That’s not it.”

“You said you’d become empress. You said you’d stay by my side. That’s why I endured all those moments, so why… why are you only thinking of leaving? I’ll become emperor. And I’ll lay this country at your feet. So… please don’t leave.”

She couldn’t let go. Sesenia looked at him with a troubled expression.

Though of imperial blood, he was an abandoned child. Sesenia had saved him. It wasn’t for some grand cause. He was merely a tool for revenge against the friend who stole her husband and deceived her… and for herself who died because of them.

“I intended to use you. You already know that. So why…”

“Because I feel like I can’t live without you.”

Sesenia sighed as she looked at him. Ted slowly stood up and tightly embraced her.

“So… don’t go. I’ll do anything you want. Even if I have to bring you the emperor’s head…”

“Alright, Ted.”

“Stay here… as my master. I’ll come back. You won’t leave, right?”

“Yes.”

“Please praise me for doing well.”

Sesenia took a step back from Ted’s embrace and stood on her tiptoes to pat his head.

“You did well.”

“Please… please keep staying here…”

“Yes. I’ll stay here.”

She didn’t expect him to become this obsessed. Was it because she treated him humanely when he couldn’t live like a human? Was it a problem that she always kept him close because she needed him too? Whatever the reason, Ted’s obsession grew worse day by day. Sesenia quietly observed him.

Seemingly reassured by her words, Ted slowly stepped back.

“I have to go where I need to be… You won’t be angry, master?”

“Yes. Go. I’ll come find you.”

“…You must come. Please. Don’t hate me.”

“Alright.”

Only after being doubly reassured did Ted leap out the window.

As if they had been watching the whole time, two people revealed themselves simultaneously.

They were the twin siblings Silian and Pepe.

“Don’t say that, choose me. To help with your revenge, I went to a place I never wanted to return to even if I died, and killed everything that got in the way. So stay by my side. Nia. If you want revenge, I’ll give it to you.”

“Sister. We’ll do it for you. So don’t ask anyone else and only look at us. No, only look at me. You don’t need any men. I’ll save you, sister. So submit to me. I’ll become your everything.”

Sesenia shook her head at the two smiling brightly.

Twins driven out of their home country simply for being twins. This country was where they had barely managed to adjust and live, but even that was about to be taken away when they were discovered. Sesenia had saved such twins.

Thinking they might be useful to her somehow.

But Sesenia wondered if this too had been a wrong choice.

Following Teddy, these two were now also terribly obsessed with her.

Sesenia looked emotionless, as if she had given up on everything. Even now as she headed to the emperor’s chambers, she was only going to drive out the woman the emperor brought in every day. There was no emotion.

If only ‘that person’ hadn’t been inside, today would have been no different from usual.

“My little bird. You are beautiful again today. Every moment I see you is thrilling.”

“It feels like a dream. To have you by my side. You should have been by my side from the beginning.”

As usual, the voices of a man and woman could be heard thickly from inside the room. Sesenia stared at the room, seemingly emotionless.

“I’m sick of this.”

She had lost count of how many women there had been. The emperor changed women every day. And every day, Sesenia opened the door to the scene. To keep her position, since she could do nothing against her husband the emperor, she at least drove out the women.

Except stare at her sister Elzere speaking so shamelessly.

Elzere pointed at Sesenia standing in the doorway.

How could her own sister, her blood sister, do this?

“What?”

Her sister sneered at her. As if Sesenia was less than the dirt under her nails, she looked at her fingernails and shook her head.

That made Sesenia’s chest feel even tighter.

“Sister!!”

“So noisy. How dare you raise your voice! Helbert. Do something about this. It’s too noisy.”

Elzere clung tightly to the emperor’s body and squirmed. Sesenia barely held back the urge to vomit.

“That’s right. My little bird shouldn’t be in pain.”

He gently caressed Elzere’s cheek with his large hand and furrowed his brow.

“Sesenia. You should leave.”

“Leave? People will think I’m the one who cheated. Even if you are the emperor, you can’t do this. This country is institutionally set up for us to only look at each other. Why don’t you understand that the more you do this, the more your reputation hits rock bottom, Emperor Helbert?”

“This is why she has no charm as a woman. Not affectionate at all.”

The emperor clicked his tongue and looked at Sesenia with a disgusted expression.

Telling them there wouldn’t be a second time, so never come near the emperor again.

Perhaps thinking she would let it go this time too, Elzere was nothing but bold.

Her expression said, “What are you going to do about it?”

Or maybe she had other thoughts. Otherwise she couldn’t act so boldly in front of Sesenia. Whatever the case, Sesenia didn’t care now. She just wanted to quickly get rid of the trash in front of her.
