“Yes. That was the day I died.”

“Tell me.”

Lizbet’s expression turned slightly sorrowful, as if remembering that moment.

“We were on our way to Mother’s grave. That’s the truth.”

“…What are you talking about? The nursemaid’s grave?”

“…Actually, I lied back then. Before I died, I told you that my older brother’s real father sent assassins. My older brother lost his life trying to save Mother. But apparently thinking that wasn’t enough, that man killed Mother too. I only found out much later—everyone around me had been silenced.”

It was an even greater shock than her own death and resurrection.

“The nursemaid… was already dead…?”

“Yes…”

“Don’t… joke about this.”

“Why would I joke about something that’s already in the past?”
