I Just Raised Men for Revenge (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 1
“Ted. I don’t believe in love.”
‘Even so, I fell in love with you. Is that alright? Am I… allowed to love you?’
Silver hair faintly brushed against Sesenia’s fingertips. The man knelt, pressing his cheek into her hand. It wasn’t just the tingling sensation of her touch that stirred him—his large eyes were glistening with moisture. Despite his imposing size, he yearned for her with heart-wrenching desperation.
“Then don’t love me—own me instead. I’ll do anything for you. So, my Lord… please claim me fully.”
“No. I’ve used you enough already.”
“No. Use me more. Break me down completely. Make me so lost that you become my only destination.”
“No….”
“You’re going to abandon me? After saving me, you’re just going to cast me aside now? Why? Why?”
Sesenia slowly let go of his hand. Yet his long fingers slid between hers, determined to intertwine with hers like vines. His scarred hand, entwined with her pale one, tangled her heart as well.
“I’m not abandoning you. I’m simply acknowledging our places, Ted. I only ever intended to raise you to Emperor to use you.”
“So you no longer need to use me?”
“No.”
“You said you’d become Empress. You promised to stay by my side. That’s why I endured every single moment… So why… why do you keep thinking of leaving? I’ll become Emperor. I’ll lay this entire nation at your feet. So… please don’t leave.”
She couldn’t pull away. Sesenia looked at him with a troubled expression.
He was of imperial blood, yet cast aside as a child. Sesenia had rescued him—not for any noble cause, but merely as a tool for revenge against the friend who stole her husband and deceived her… and for herself, who had died because of them.
“I intended to use you. You already know that. Then why….”
“Because I feel like I can’t live without you.”
Sesenia sighed and looked at him. Ted slowly rose and pulled her tightly into his arms.
“So… don’t go. I’ll do anything you want. Even if it means bringing you the Emperor’s head….”
“Yes, Ted.”
“Stay right here… as my Master. I’ll come back. You won’t leave, will you?”
“Yes.”
“Praise me for doing well.”
Sesenia stepped back slightly from Ted’s embrace and stood on tiptoe to stroke his head.
“You did well.”
“Please… please stay right here….”
“Yes. I’ll stay.”
She hadn’t expected his obsession to grow this intense. Was it because she had granted him, who had never lived like a human, the barest taste of humanity? Or was it her own need for him that had kept him constantly by her side, causing this problem? Whatever the reason, Ted’s fixation only deepened with each passing day. Sesenia quietly watched him.
Only after hearing her words did Ted seem reassured, slowly stepping back.
“I should go to where I belong… so my Lord won’t be angry, right?”
“Yes. Go ahead. I’ll come find you.”
“…You have to come. Promise me. Don’t hate me.”
“Yes.”
After repeating his reassurance again and again, Ted finally slipped out through the window.
“Hah….”
As if they had been watching the whole time, two figures suddenly appeared.
“Why keep that pathetic wretch around? Aside from his imperial blood, he’s utterly useless. What a spineless fool.”
“You used to acknowledge Teddy yourself.”
“But now that I’ve come back as king, it’s so frustrating! I’m right here—why do you even pay attention to someone like him? I’m the one who loves you, Nia.”
“Don’t make me laugh. Teddy’s better than you, Oppa.”
They were identical twins—so strikingly otherworldly in appearance that if fairies existed, they would surely look just like them. With pale sky-blue hair and snow-white faces, the only difference between them was the length of their hair. Naturally, they clung close to Sesenia.
The twin siblings Silian and Pepe.
“Choose me instead. To help you with your revenge, I went back to that place I never wanted to see again, even in death, and wiped out everyone who stood in your way. So stay by my side, Nia. If you want revenge, I’ll give it to you.”
“Sister. We’ll do it for you. So don’t ask anyone else—just look at us. No, look only at me. You don’t need any men. I’ll save you. So submit to me. I’ll become your everything.”
Sesenia shook her head as she watched the two flash identical, mischievous smiles.
The twins had been exiled from their homeland simply for being twins. This country had been the only place where they barely managed to settle—until they were nearly discovered and driven out again. Sesenia had saved them.
She thought they might be useful to her somehow.
But now, watching them, she wondered yet again if she’d made another wrong choice.
Because now, in addition to Teddy, these two were also obsessively fixated on her.
“No. I’ll handle my revenge myself.”

“If you say so, fine. Take your revenge your own way. But, Nia… I don’t think I can keep watching you grow close to others just for the sake of revenge.”
“Hah….”
Sesenia let out a deep sigh as she looked at the twins clinging stubbornly to her.
She had only raised these men for revenge…
**
Nine months earlier.
For Sesenia, that day had seemed no different from any other.
‘My husband is cheating again today. How tiresome. Why did I even marry this man? I married for happiness, yet I’m not happy at all.’
Sesenia appeared utterly emotionless, as if she had already given up on everything. Even now, as she headed toward the Emperor’s chambers, she went only to chase away the woman her husband had brought into his bed that day—feeling no emotion, no spark of interest.
If only the person inside hadn’t been *her*, today truly would have been just another ordinary day.
“My little bird. You are as beautiful as ever today. Every moment with you thrills me.”
“Oh, hah… you too….”
“It feels like a dream—having you beside me. From the very beginning, you should have been mine.”
As usual, the room echoed with the voices of a man and a woman entwined in intimacy. Sesenia stood silently, unmoved, staring blankly at the door.
“How tiresome.”
She’d lost count of how many women there had been. The Emperor changed women daily, and Sesenia opened that door every day—not to confront her husband, the Emperor, but simply to drive away the women, as if that would protect her place.
And so, as always, she opened the door today… only to freeze.
“Why are you so sweet? You smell just like fragrant peaches.”
The Emperor buried his face in the woman’s chest, while she giggled gaily in response. Normally, Sesenia would have stormed in and chased the woman out immediately—but her feet refused to budge.
Because the woman stroking the Emperor’s hair was someone she knew all too well.
“Sister…?”
Noticing someone had entered, the Emperor finally looked up.
“Emp… Empress?! Hah… What is the Empress doing here?! Even though you’re Empress, you can’t just barge into the Emperor’s private chambers like this!”
“Ha… ha… How… how can you do this?! Both of you… Sister… you too…! How… how could you…!”
She knew he was trash. In their realm, infidelity was strictly forbidden. Yet because her husband was Emperor, Sesenia—his Empress—could do nothing.
“All right. We’ve been caught.”
She could only stare, stunned, at her shameless sister Elzer.
The Emperor, meanwhile, looked at Elzer with tender concern.
“Elzer, you must be shocked.”
“I’m fine. But what will we do now?”
“Hm?”
“That.”
Elzer pointed toward Sesenia, who stood frozen in the doorway.
Seeing them act as if they were the victims—not the guilty parties—made Sesenia’s chest tighten. Why was she even here? Was this spectacle truly what she had come to see?
Could her own blood sister—her own flesh and blood—really do this to her?
“‘That’? You call me ‘that’? Empress, elder sister… You’re so brazen I almost thought *I* was the one in the wrong.”
“Did I do something wrong?”
“What?”
“Sesenia, you wouldn’t understand—but men are just like this by nature. They’re creatures who can’t resist women. And he’s a ruler, no less! Isn’t it perfectly normal for a man of power to have one or two lovers?”
Her sister only sneered at her, then glanced dismissively at her own fingernails—as if Sesenia were less than the dirt beneath them—and shook her head.
That gesture tightened the knot in Sesenia’s chest even more.
“Sister!!”
“Quiet! How dare you raise your voice like that! Helbert, do something. She’s far too loud.”
Elzer writhed against the Emperor’s body. Sesenia barely suppressed the urge to vomit.
“Of course. My little bird mustn’t suffer.”
He gently caressed Elzer’s cheek with his large hand, frowning in concern.
“Sesenia, leave.”
“Leave? Anyone who saw this would think *I* was the one cheating! Even if you’re the Emperor, this is unacceptable. Our laws demand fidelity between spouses. Don’t you realize that acting like this destroys your own reputation, Your Imperial Majesty, Emperor Helbert?”
“That’s exactly why you have no charm as a woman—so cold and distant.”
The Emperor clicked his tongue, looking at Sesenia with clear disdain.

Sesenia wasn’t a fool. While she might not have been affectionate, she certainly wasn’t dim-witted.
“Whether or not I have charm, whether or not you want other women by your side—it will remain impossible as long as I live, as long as I exist.”
Her pent-up fury finally erupted. Had they groveled before her and admitted fault, she might have let it pass. But her sister Elzer made the worst possible choice.
For three years, Sesenia had never once harmed any woman who stood beside the Emperor. She blamed only her husband—the man who couldn’t control himself—and merely warned those women away.
She always told them: since there would be no second chance, never return to the Emperor’s side.
Perhaps Elzer assumed this time would be no different—she stood tall and proud, wearing an expression that plainly said, “What are you going to do about it?”
Or perhaps she had some other motive. Otherwise, she wouldn’t dare act so boldly in front of Sesenia. Whatever the case, Sesenia no longer cared. All she wanted was to rid herself of this filth standing before her as quickly as possible.
“Older Sister Elzer.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
