I Held the Leash of a Blind Beast (1 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 21
Café Cardinal was not far from the Grand Duke’s residence.
“Really quite close.”
He thought he could almost hear Rona’s chattering voice in his ear.
Illeon walked alone toward the café where they had once shared tea.
The streets of the capital felt unfamiliar. He rarely walked like this—he usually took a carriage occasionally, but mostly rode horseback.
A different height meant a different view.
“So you’ve always been seeing sights like this.”
Illeon admired the street scenery. Riding a horse required focusing on the path ahead. By skillfully pulling the reins, one could gradually shift the horse’s line of sight, train it, and guide it to run in the desired direction. Though it was second nature, the act was centered on moving quickly. Even this area near the Grand Duke’s residence, which he must have passed many times, now felt strangely foreign, as if seen for the first time.
Though his stride was naturally long, he deliberately walked slowly. He wanted to see the same scenery Rona had seen while going to and fro. While blind, he had experienced the world through her descriptions; now he wished to confirm it with his own eyes.
He took a seat at a table in Café Cardinal and ordered coffee and chocolate.
A neatly dressed waitress in a crisp white apron set down his order but fumbled slightly, spilling a bit of coffee.
“I’m sorry.”
The woman bowed and wiped up the spill. Her hand slowed as she rubbed the stain on the table, her eyes meticulously tracing Illeon’s jet-black hair, beautiful red eyes, straight nose, and handsome lips from close range. Her gaze, stolen as if entranced, brimmed with awe and astonishment. Illeon paid her no mind and simply watched her retreat.
“It’s fine. You may go.”
“Yes. I’m sorry.”

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”
