“There’s probably no way to hunt them now.”

The butler shook his head as if it were an absurd notion, causing Kyan to bristle.

“Are you speaking of impossibilities before me?”

He was akin to a living god in the territory of Lowen.

“Find a way.”

“My lord.”

“Find it by any means necessary.”

The physician fidgeted uncomfortably.

“There’s a suitable time for treatment even if we have the medicine.”

“Are you saying it’s already too late to cure her? That’s how you take care of patients? In my castle, for my people?”

“No, not at all! Absolutely not.”

Although Clodel was intimidated or overwhelmed by Kyan’s tone, he wasn’t particularly harsher with her.

The young lord, devoid of gentleness, was aggressive and contrarian.

Having lost his parents unexpectedly and ascending to headship, then heading to war, some older women pitied him and the rest admired his character as ‘truly our lord.’

Nevertheless, the physician felt fear of being expelled from the lord’s castle if he couldn’t find the medicine or cure Clodel.

“The illness is too severe and time is critical. If you ask for an ingredient that’s impossible to obtain…”

“You’ve been rambling for ten minutes now without even trying.”

“How could you! The lady is visibly so ill, and even you, the lord who’s been closest, didn’t notice.”

Outraged, the physician looked resentfully at Kyan and exclaimed.

“She’s so frail, not a bit of flesh on her body, how could you not know…”

Kyan pursed his lips.

He had driven the woman to the edge, demanding until there was nothing left, but he was unaware of her physical state.

He simply thought she was ‘thin, slender’ from the beginning.

The physician’s reprimand left Kyan feeling even worse.

“I should look for a new resident physician for the castle.”

“Gasp!”

Eventually, under Kyan’s prickly pressure, the worn-out physician left the office weakly.

“What will you do?”

“It might be available in the capital.”

The capital of Oberon Kingdom was about a day’s journey from Lowen by horse and carriage.

“She bleeds and dies within a month, they said.”

Clodel hadn’t revealed when she fell ill.

It seemed she didn’t have much time left, given she was discovered hiding her condition.

It would take two weeks to go to and return from the capital.

Maybe Kyan could shorten it to ten days.

While he was lost in thought:

“Scream!”

A woman’s scream echoed in the quiet castle, suddenly causing a commotion.

“What’s going on? So noisy.”

Before the butler could finish speaking, a servant rushed in.

“My lord. The lady has collapsed.”

Kyan dashed to Clodel’s room like the wind.

“Miss. Miss.”

Liquid and gold dust were scattered on the floor, indicating an attempt to administer medicine.

Hanna, who had been slapping Clodel’s cheek, clung to Kyan’s pants without caring about the broken shards.

“Save her, my lord. Please save our miss. Don’t let her die like this. I’ll be a servant to Temnes even in death. Please.”

The blood trickling from Clodel’s lips was different from her usual coughing up blood.

It wasn’t the dark red clots gnawing inside her.

It looked like the warm, vibrant blood that spurts when someone’s heart is pierced by a sword.
“It’s not the blood that has been coagulating and accumulating over time, but rather the very essence of her life, tinged red, that flowed from the corners of her mouth with each feeble cough from her unconscious, small body.”

“Clodel.”

Kyan called her name calmly.

“Open your eyes.”

She didn’t move at all.

“Clodel!”

Even shouting her name louder didn’t elicit a response from the woman who, just moments ago, had been asking Kyan, ‘Can I change my burial place?’ or ‘Is it alright if I move to another room?’

The physician, who had been hastily called back from the office, fumbled to check Clodel’s pulse.

“Oh no.”

The ominous tone of his voice made Kyan glare at him fiercely.

“One week. At most a week. There’s nothing we can do about this…”

Carefully, Kyan lifted Clodel in his arms. Fearing her frail body, which kept coughing even in her unconscious state, might shake, he slowly laid her back on the bed.

“I’ll go.”

“What?”

“Huh?”

Both the physician and the butler were perplexed by his statement.

“The buffalo. I’ll catch it.”

Kyan’s declaration made the butler jump.

“Absolutely not, my lord.”

“There’s nothing impossible. If I can’t catch it, then no one in all of Oberon can.”

Although his words were irrefutable, the butler, unable to bear the thought of the esteemed lord of Temnes risking himself against a herd of wild buffalo, tried to dissuade him.

“You don’t have an heir yet.”

“That’s obvious. With my only wife in that condition, it would be stranger if I had an heir.”

Kyan’s eyes, fixed intently on Clodel, were bloodshot.

“I’m leaving now.”

Immediately, Kyan summoned his knights.

The elite troops, hastily assembled, couldn’t understand their lord’s actions.

“Are we being called out to fetch medicine for the Bermont girl?”

“Nah. Must be a misunderstanding. Just our lord enjoying hunting.”

Male lead is a Destined Young Husband (Female-dominant)

One-sentence summary: Wife-master, listen to my explanation!

Li Ruantang, a young lady from a prestigious family, stumbled and fell. When she woke up, she saw a noble and beautiful young man sitting by her bedside, wiping away tears.

The young master had slightly reddened eyes, and his every move exuded charm.

The sight made Li Ruantang’s eyes hot and her heart flutter. After all, she had made a bet with the young master Meng from the neighboring family. If she couldn’t marry a husband before the end of the year, she would have to admit defeat and give up the jade she had worked so hard to obtain.

Outside the window, the flowers were in full bloom.

Rather than losing the bet, the jade, and her face, Li Ruantang calculated that it would be better to seek marriage with the young master in front of her, killing three birds with one stone.

…

Meng Jun never thought that an accident during a spring outing would lead to them rolling down a cliff and into a river, yet still survive.

Now they were trapped in an unknown village, and Meng Jun had overheard that the family who had rescued them had their own intentions.

After all, it was Li Ruantang who had lost her mind and sought marriage first. He was only trying to protect himself!

Glancing at Li Ruantang, who was listing her own merits, the young husband’s voice softened, and he blushed as he lied, “W-wife-master, Wife-master, don’t you remember me?”

The young husband’s voice was clear and handsome, coaxing Li Ruantang’s heart to be soft and sweet, and she spared no effort to protect him.

It wasn’t until they returned to the capital that Li Ruantang suddenly remembered.

When they had fallen off the cliff, in order not to implicate Wei Yunruo, whom he secretly admired, the young husband had instead pulled her, who was slightly farther away, down the cliff with him…

Short summary by Yuushi L: Initially, the male lead (ML) liked another girl, while the female lead (FL) liked the ML. Both fell off a cliff. The FL temporarily lost her memory, and the ML, fearing others might take advantage of him, claimed FL was his wife while they were staying in a village. Later, when they returned home, the FL regained her memories and remembered that the ML liked someone else, so she kept her distance from him. However, during their time living together in the countryside, the ML’s view of the FL had completely changed. From this point, his pursuit of the FL begins.
