She abruptly stood up from her spot, brushed off her clothes, turned around, and headed toward the company building.

“Where are you going!”

Section Chief Kim quickly grabbed Baek In Ha and turned her around.

“I already said everything I needed to say, right? So we’re done?”

“What?”

She turned her body again and started walking back to the company. This time, I stopped her.

“Is everything Section Chief Kim just said true?”

It was an expression I had never seen before. In the nearly two years I’d known her, had she ever been capable of making a face like this? The woman who was looking at me with such an icy expression suddenly let out a “pfft” and laughed.

Cars passing by stirred up the wind, messing up Baek In Ha’s hair. She irritably pushed her hair back and opened her mouth.

“You saw everything just now, didn’t you? What more do I have to say? Oh. Are you expecting an apology? Fine. I’m sorry. Happy now?”

Baek In Ha lightly tilted her head and tried to head back to the company again. I was furious. Who was the one in the wrong here, and yet she had this attitude? I quickly grabbed her arm.
