Maybe because it was a new car, or perhaps because it was worth the expensive price, the car drove extremely smoothly. It was quiet too, probably because it was electric. Seriously, the car was really silent.

The aunties in the back chattered nonstop without a break. Since it was their first drive in a while, the aunties were all excited. Their endless gossip kept me from sleeping, so I just blankly stared out the window.

But I didn’t entirely dislike the noise. Hearing their cheerful chatter, I started to feel a little regret—maybe I should’ve agreed to come along right from the start.

I stole a glance at Ji Seo Jun, who was driving. Was he feeling the same as me? Every time the aunties giggled, the corners of Ji Seo Jun’s mouth softened into a gentle smile.

The boring highway finally ended, and outside the window, the ocean now revealed its majestic presence.

“The sea!”

As I opened the window, the briny scent rushed into the car.

“Da Yul, it’s been a while since you’ve been to the seaside, hasn’t it?”

“Yes!”

Probably because it was summer, the beach was packed with people on the weekend.

Yet, even amidst the crowd, Ji Seo Jun stood out unmistakably—not just because his head rose clearly above everyone else’s, but also because of that striking face you could spot from afar.

Wherever this guy was, it felt like a pristine Swiss zone—crystal-clear, as if on a perfectly clear day with zero fine dust.

Ji Seo Jun got out of the car and frowned at the harsh sunlight. Then he pulled out his sunglasses from inside the car.

Even though he clearly covered his eyes, for some reason, his looks only became more prominent.

Due to traffic, we arrived just before lunchtime, so we decided to head straight to a raw fish restaurant. After all, we could still enjoy the ocean view while eating sashimi.
