“Wow. I knew it’d be impressive, but still…”
I couldn’t help but let out an admiring sigh at the pristine, magnificent building spread before my eyes.
A gray roof crowned the perfectly symmetrical white stone mansion. Even the long, rectangular windows and the surrounding landscaping adhered to flawless symmetry.
With the blue sky as its backdrop, the white structure stood tall like a movie set straight out of a film.
‘Well, that’s not entirely wrong.’
Ugh, I really didn’t want to become one of those clichéd, awestruck characters intimidated by grand houses like this. Every time I gawked at the mansion, it felt like I was playing a role in some staged scene.
My pride wouldn’t let me be the wide-eyed extra gawking foolishly in admiration.
After a brief hesitation, I pinched the bridge of my nose and said casually,
“Well, it’s exactly as I imagined. If only there were a guesthouse, a yacht dock, a swimming pool, a sauna, and maybe an artificial pond—that’d be perfect. Everything else is just as I pictured. It’s not that surprising, honestly. I expected you’d live well. At least the place looks clean and nice.”
I spoke in the most affected tone I could muster and shrugged my shoulders.
Adrian responded with an awkward, slightly embarrassed smile.
“Really? Honestly, it’s an old mansion we renovated, so the style’s a bit outdated—something Roman, I think. Not that I really know.”
He then added as if remembering something.
“Oh, but there is a guesthouse in the garden wing, so if you ever need your own space later, I can lend it to you. Just let me know.”
So he actually had a guesthouse after all…?

I am actually screaming at Alan dropping his “polite model student” mask the literal second he sees Juno getting out of a luxury car with Adrian. He was so deeply threatened by them spending the day together that he went full tactical hater mode, dissecting Adrian’s entire combat style and calling his capacity “too small” just to cope with his own jealousy.It’s weird in story with american western background but still using korean honorifics in the english translation version
