The next morning, Stella woke up with an uneasy feeling. She felt like there was something on her face and a tingling sensation, so she lightly touched her cheek with her fingertips.

“What is this!”

Even though she might wake up with a swollen face in the morning, her skin was usually smooth.

However, the texture under Stella’s fingertips now felt rough, like bare earth. Startled, Stella quickly got up and rushed to the mirror.

Upon seeing herself in the mirror, Stella once again gasped.

“What is this?”

In the mirror, Stella’s face was covered in mud.

“Who would do such a thing!”

Stella realized that the only ones who would do such a ridiculous thing were the ground fairies inside Verdura Castle. She frowned and lowered her head deeply under the bed.

However, the fairies’ bed was empty, and even the bed she had carefully made was now a mess covered in mud.

“These little rascals!”

Although her stomach was upset by the mischievous prank the fairies had played after receiving a gift, she now needed to wash up before Mila came into the room. She didn’t know how lucky it was to have a bathroom attached to the room.

After cleaning herself up, Stella looked at the mirror and was surprised. It was because her usual complexion looked very different.

“Why am I glowing?”

Her skin was radiant and smooth like a pearl and felt as soft and supple as a boiled egg. Moreover, it was adequately moisturized and smooth enough that she didn’t need any makeup.
“Could it be because of the mud?”

The only difference from usual was the mud the fairies playfully smeared on her face. Stella thought that the mud might contain ingredients beneficial for the skin, but it seemed like the fairies’ magic was at play.

Stella, who initially got angry thinking they had ruined her face, felt her frustration subside when she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

“I’ll ask them later.”

Feeling better, Stella caressed her face as she admired herself in the mirror when she heard a knock. Stella quickly cleared the mirror she was looking into and sat up straight.

“Come in.”

Mila, entering the room, was about to explain today’s schedule as usual, but she glanced at Stella and paused.

“Why? Is there something on my face?”

“Nothing at all. Today is the day we must complete the embroidered handkerchief to present to His Imperial Majesty during the hunting festival.”

“Ah… embroidery.”

Stella, who had shown her displeasure, suddenly felt a surge of motivation, thinking that she should diligently practice sewing to make quilts for the ground fairies.

“Alright. I guess we can start from today.”

Stella, who knew that she didn’t particularly enjoy embroidering, responded with enthusiasm, surprising Mila, who was looking at her questioningly. Putting down the basket she was holding, Mila said,

“Yes, Your Highness. I have prepared the materials.”

Inside the basket were several handkerchiefs made of silk and colorful embroidery threads.
“The other princesses must be busy with embroidery.”

Everyone will do their best to catch the Emperor’s eye. However, as soon as Stella saw the neatly square handkerchiefs in the basket, she immediately thought they were perfect for the size of the ground fairies’ quilts.

Of course, the winter quilts might be a bit thin, but by sewing two layers together and inserting feathers or soft pieces of cloth in between, it seemed like it would be enough to make a quilt that could be used throughout the winter.

“What if I fail?”

“It’s okay. We have plenty of spare handkerchief fabric.”

“That’s fortunate. Oh, by the way, take the ones I fail at.”

“Yes?”

“It’s a shame to just throw them away, so I’ll use them for a few more practice sessions.”

“I will provide you with enough spare handkerchief fabric for practice.”

“Thanks. Still, take the failed ones.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

Mila left the room, thinking curiously, but she was determined to try her best to make up for her lacking skills.

Stella began embroidering each handkerchief with numbers that would suit each fairy.

For the Spring Fairy, Ark, she embroidered yellow chicks and sprouts; for the Summer Fairy, Esta, she stitched refreshing raindrops and deep blue leaves; for the Autumn Fairy, Oton, she sewed acorns and fallen leaves; and finally, for the Winter Fairy, Iber, she embroidered a white snowman.

“What are you embroidering, Your Highness?”

Mila, who returned to the room with handkerchief fabric, watched Stella diligently embroidering without losing focus for a moment and asked.
Princess Stella originally thought she had good concentration, but today was particularly different. Her face was excessively more beautiful than on other days, and her enthusiasm for embroidering was exceptionally high. In response to Mila’s question, Stella proudly displayed what she had been working on.

“You expressed the four seasons.”

“Oh… This is spring.”

Mila, with keen eyes, discovered a yellow dot and pointed to it with her finger.

“Yes.”

“The forsythia is beautiful.”

“It’s a chick.”

“Oh, then the one next to it must be its food.”

“It’s a sprout.”

Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day

It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.

The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.

Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.

If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.

It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.

The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.

In the end, everything will come together and be explained.

One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!

In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.

Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.

However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.

Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.

Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?

——

Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.

His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.

Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”

——

The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.

Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!

Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!

The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…

——

But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.

The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.

She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…

Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”

Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”

Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

[Small Theater]

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.

Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”

Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.

Zhu Wansheng: ?

Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…

On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.

Warm breath lingers on her neck.

“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
