Arck’s face glowed with pride as he talked about the carrots. His daily carrot-carrying habit indicated his genuine fondness for them. As Stella gazed at the seed pouch in her palm, she nodded thoughtfully.
With no particular plans and pleasant weather, planting fairy carrots seemed like a good idea.
When Stella came downstairs with the pickaxe, the maids rushed over in alarm, concerned about her safety. If anything happened to the princess they served, the responsibility would fall on them.
“Princess, where did you find that? It’s dangerous. Please give it to us.”
“Why are you carrying something so heavy?”
The maids, pale-faced, reached out for the pickaxe, but Stella instinctively hid it behind her back. Luckily, Mila, who had gone to a regular meeting, hadn’t returned yet.
“It’s okay. It’s not heavy at all.”
Despite Stella’s assurance, the maids kept glancing nervously at the pickaxe. Stella gripped it tightly behind her.

This was the most dominant thought in Stella’s mind at that moment. Although it was absurd to think the maids would covet an old pickaxe, she feared they might try to take it.
Even Stella found her attachment ridiculous and chuckled at herself. After a few tussles, she managed to keep the pickaxe and strode confidently into the garden. Seeing the neatly arranged garden brought a sense of relief.
“Where should I plant them?”
Stella asked, looking around with the seeds and pickaxe in hand.
“Let’s go over there. It’s a sunny spot without tree shade, perfect for the seeds to grow well.”
Arck led the way, much more excited than Esta walking beside him. His steps were quick, and he often urged them to hurry.
“What are you doing? Hurry up! We need to plant them now.”
Arck kept calling out, walking far ahead. Observing this, Esta turned to Stella with an awkward smile.
“Please understand. Arck is an earth fairy with a strong spring energy; he’s crazy about planting seeds.”
“What’s good about having strong spring energy?”
“It helps sprouts grow faster. If you plant seeds with Arck, they’ll sprout by tomorrow.”
Esta made this remarkable statement nonchalantly.
