From the very moment the baby let out its first cry, the long crack in the fairy seed that Iver held in her arms began to steadily widen.

“Huh? Huh!”

Startled, Iver stomped her feet helplessly, clutching the fairy seed tightly as she tried desperately to press the crack back together—but the seed split cleanly in two, just like a walnut shell cracking open.

“Gasp!”

Pushed back by the seed’s sudden force, Iver set it down on the floor and stepped back a pace. A faint pink light seeped through the fissure—so dim that one might not even notice it glowing unless looking closely.

Iver glanced at her friends, who were completely absorbed by the newborn baby, then walked back toward the split seed.

Inside the seed, now opened wide on both sides, lay a tiny earth fairy curled up in a little ball. Her hair, eyelashes, and clothes made of flower petals were all entirely pink.

“How cute…”

Iver couldn’t help but sigh in admiration at the earth fairy, who lay nestled in her thick, long pink hair like a blanket. Hesitating whether to wake the seemingly sleeping child, she called out to her friends.

“Hey, guys.”

“Shh! Be quiet—the baby just arrived!”

But the fairies, utterly captivated by Stella’s newborn, didn’t even turn around. Meanwhile, the little earth fairy, who had been crouching inside the seed, yawned, stretched, and blinked her eyes wide open.

Goodness! Even the newborn earth fairy’s eyes were a lovely shade of pink.

“H-hello, Pinkie.”

Iver approached the pink earth fairy baby and greeted her gently. The baby earth fairy seemed slightly startled at first upon seeing Iver, but quickly sprang up and leapt out of her shell.
