I Didn't Really Want to Do Farming! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 20
Though she didn’t know much about plants, she did understand that seeds wouldn’t sprout the very next day after planting.
Stella watched Ark’s back as he walked ahead of her with a surprisingly light, almost floating step despite his plump figure, and once again marveled at the existence of earth sprites.
After all, seeing beings no one else could see wasn’t exactly ordinary. Why was it only me who could see these little creatures?
No matter how hard she thought, she couldn’t figure out the reason. Could her mother have had some connection to earth sprites? Suddenly, she recalled showing her mother the earth spirits as friends back in Amalune.
Just remembering that moment made her cheeks burn. Though her mother had hit her many times, she’d never once slapped her cheek.
Thinking about it now, that reaction had been rather extreme. Could her mother have been able to see earth spirits too?
“What are you doing? Hurry up!”
Stella, lost in thought, quickened her pace at Ark’s urging voice.
“Now, go ahead and open the pouch!”
Ark said with a beaming smile. Seeing his round face brimming with eager anticipation inexplicably lifted her mood.
The gloomy feeling she’d had while thinking about her mother vanished completely, leaving no trace behind, thanks to Ark’s adorable grin.
Stella crouched down and carefully opened the end of the pouch the earth sprite had brought.
The pouch, shaped like a large water droplet, instantly unfurled into a wide mat when she pulled its pointed ends apart.
“Is this carrot seed?”
It was her first time ever seeing plant seeds up close. Stella curiously placed a few fairy carrot seeds onto her palm and examined them closely.
She didn’t know how big regular carrot seeds were supposed to be, but these fairy carrot seeds were incredibly tiny.
Each seed, no bigger than a sesame grain, was covered in soft, fluffy fuzz. Stella gently rubbed the fuzz with her fingertip.
“If you do it like that, the fuzz won’t come off! You have to take the seeds like this, put them between your palms, and rub them together—that’s how the fuzz comes off easily.”
Not having realized the fuzz needed to be removed, Stella nodded and poured all the seeds from the pouch onto her palm.
As soon as the seeds touched her palm, her heart began pounding. A warm, joyful feeling swelled inside her, just as strong as when she’d first held the hoe—so overwhelming she nearly burst into tears.
Finding herself strangely moved, Stella tightly held back the tears welling in her eyes and began rubbing the seeds between her palms.
“Wooow! You’re doing great!”
“You’re truly a noble farmer! Removing fuzz from so many seeds all at once! Stella, you were definitely born for this!”
“Isn’t that just because her hands are big?”
“Maybe? Still, she’s doing great!”
Ark and Esta stood side by side, hopping up and down as they cheered Stella on while she rubbed the fuzz off the carrot seeds. Though it felt silly to receive such heartfelt encouragement for something so trivial, it still made her happy.
“What do I do now?”
Stella asked, showing Ark the now smooth seeds. Ark solemnly tapped her palm with his own hand.
“You did very well. Now all you need to do is plant them in the soil.”
Though he was trying his best to encourage her as a teacher would, his tiny palm tapping her fingertip felt incredibly small and cute. Ark took one seed from Stella’s palm and demonstrated.
He pulled a small shovel he’d prepared earlier from his back pocket, gently dug a shallow hole, placed the seed inside, and covered it with soil.
“Just like this. Very simple, right?”
It didn’t look difficult at all, so Stella nodded and used her hoe to poke a small hole in the ground.
As the sharp tip of the hoe softly pierced the earth, an indescribable thrill ran through her entire body, making her shiver.
Stella dropped a single seed into the small hole she’d dug with the hoe. Just as she was about to cover it with soil—
“No! Too deep!”
Stella froze, a handful of soil still in her grip. In that moment, Esta darted into the hole and retrieved the seed Stella had just dropped.
The seed, barely visible among the soil, was found instantly by Esta as if by magic.
Ark shook his head, one hand resting on the hoe’s blade.
“Carrot seeds need sunlight to sprout, so you mustn’t plant them too deep. Dig just this much and plant the seed.”
“Oh! Got it.”
Stella began planting the fairy carrot seeds exactly as Ark had instructed. Though the seeds had seemed countless at first, both pouches were emptied in no time.
“Oh! Well done! Truly, a noble farmer is exceptional!”
Hearing Ark’s praise, Stella grinned but quickly composed her expression. Who would’ve ever thought she’d genuinely feel happy being called a natural-born farmer?
“Now, just lightly water them so the seeds won’t wash away if it rains—that’s all.”
This didn’t seem difficult either. The problem was there was no nearby source of water. But her worry didn’t last long.
“I’ll water them.”
Esta volunteered without hesitation.
“Really?”
“Of course! I said I’d help, didn’t I?”

“That’s right! Esta is an earth sprite strongly attuned to summer’s energy. She knows exactly where water flows and is excellent at watering plants!”
At Ark’s explanation, Esta’s chin lifted proudly. Her smug expression was utterly adorable.
“Wait here. I’ll bring water right away.”
Moments later, Stella could only gape in astonishment. Esta returned carrying a round water pouch in both hands like a tray and began gently dripping water onto the seeded soil.
She hadn’t brought a container of water, nor had she carried enough water to sprinkle over all the seeds.
Yet tiny droplets continuously fell from the transparent pouch in Esta’s hands, quickly moistening the seeded soil.
“All done!”
After dropping the last bit of water onto the final seeded spot, Esta gulped down the remaining water in the pouch and cheered triumphantly. It truly was a miraculous ability.
“So you can control water at will?”
Genuinely amazed, Stella asked. Esta blushed slightly and scratched her head.
“I’m only a low-tier earth sprite, so I can’t do much yet. But once I grow stronger, I’ll be able to make gentle rain fall over the fields you cultivate, Stella.”
“You’re far more amazing and wonderful than I ever imagined!”
Stella clapped enthusiastically in admiration, causing Esta to shrug her shoulders and smile shyly. Watching them quietly, Ark then strode toward the soil where the fairy carrots were planted, spread his legs wide, and stood firmly.
“Stella, watch closely now! I can do something really cool too.”
When Stella stopped clapping and turned to look at him, Ark spread his petal-sized palms wide and stretched both arms high above his head like he was cheering.
Then he squeezed his eyes shut, puffed out his cheeks full of air, and blew until they swelled up like a frog’s—already round, his cheeks now looked enormous.
“You’ll burst your cheeks if you keep that up!”
Worried, Stella nudged Esta, signaling her to stop him. But Esta just crossed her arms and shook her head.
“Your cheeks are smaller than last year. Puff them up more.”
Instead of stopping him, Esta egged him on. Ark’s cheeks swelled even larger than before, growing so big that Stella felt she really needed to intervene now.
“Stop! You’ll hurt yourself!”
The moment Stella’s urgent cry ended, Ark bent forward toward the seeded soil.
Hoooooo! Hoooooo!
He pursed his lips into a small circle and blew warm breath onto the earth. As he turned his head left and right, evenly spreading his breath, he looked just like a pufferfish.
After circling the seeded area and blowing steadily for a long while, Ark finally stopped. Though anyone else would’ve felt dizzy from exhaling so long, Ark looked refreshingly energized.
“Are you okay?”
Stella asked, studying Ark’s face carefully. Ark shrugged his shoulders just as Esta had done earlier and stuck out his lower lip.
“This is nothing. How was it? Cool, right?”
He pointed to the spot where he’d blown his breath for so long. Honestly, Stella couldn’t tell any difference before and after, but she clapped anyway.
“That was incredible! I’ve never seen anyone exhale for so long like that.”
Stella clapped extra loudly on purpose to boost Ark’s spirits. But gradually, her applause slowed as she sensed something strange.
That strange sensation was emanating from the very spot where Ark had just blown his breath.
A faint light rose from the seeded soil.
“Huh? What’s this?”
Stella leaned her face close to the ground to examine the light more carefully.
She briefly thought Mila would be horrified if she saw her pressing her nose into the dirt like this, but that wasn’t important right now.
What was happening right before her eyes was simply too wondrous and astonishing.
“I knew Stella would be able to see it. That’s the Blessing of Spring—the power I can give to these cute little seeds.”
Stella cautiously reached her hand over the softly glowing light. The light touching her palm felt warm, gentle, and dazzlingly beautiful—so much so it brought tears to her eyes.
“It’s beautiful.”
A single tear dropped from Stella’s eye onto the earth.
My Ex-Girlfriend Is The Regent In The Female-dominant World (Male lead transmigrates to the matriarchal world)
Two years ago, Gu Sui picked up a homeless woman in ancient costume from the street.
Apart from occasionally claiming to be a princess from a female-dominant country due to illness, her figure, appearance, intelligence, and martial arts skills were impeccable.
Naturally evolving from roommates to girlfriends, as time went on, Gu Sui found it increasingly difficult to tolerate her queen syndrome.
“Mu Jiulu, can you stop controlling me inside and out? Let’s break up.”
Gu Sui made a breakup call, and since then, he couldn’t find any trace of her.
A year later, Gu Sui, who was planning to move, woke up the next day and found himself in a different place.
“Young Master, today is the day you choose your Wife-master through martial arts competition at Jade Dew Pavilion. Please get up quickly.”
Gu Sui: Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?
As the only son of a general’s mansion in a female-dominant dynasty, the young empress personally issued a decree allowing Gu Sui to select his Wife-master through martial arts competition. Whoever could defeat him could marry him.
Gu Sui: “……”
He didn’t inherit the original owner’s martial prowess, so anyone could defeat him! And what the hell is a Wife-master?
Forced to come to Jade Dew Pavilion, the densely packed women below made Gu Sui’s agoraphobia act up, and his face was full of resistance.
Until he saw the Regent sitting on the second floor, with a smile on the corner of her lips, her eyes wicked and nonchalant.
Hmm… she looked a little familiar.
It turned out that the Regent also found him a little familiar.
Mu Jiulu fiddled with her bone clasp, her deep gaze locked on the man who was out of place in this world.
“Finally, I found you.”
