Considering that Princess Stella was entangled with Kai, it should have been me—not Princess Anet—who pulled Stella’s hair.

Yet the moment she saw Princess Stella’s face at Verdura Castle, her fury, which had been boiling over from head to toe, vanished as if by magic. Had she not repeatedly reminded herself of her purpose for going there, she might have ended up chattering away endlessly.

Just as she finally gathered her wits and was about to confront Kai about their relationship, Princess Anet stormed into Verdura Castle and caused a ruckus.

“Tch!”

Melissa’s brow furrowed in irritation the instant she recalled Anet while reliving the day’s events.

“Is the water temperature not right? Shall I heat it up more for you?”

The maid attending her bath quickly asked, noticing Melissa’s souring expression.

“No, it’s fine. This is enough.”

Melissa offered the maid a gentle smile, then rose from the tub, revealing the flawless yet scarred beauty of her body.

Scars from sword slashes, monster bites, and poisonous thorns—each one different. Her mother, younger sister, and maids always lamented these marks, but Melissa cherished them.

They were proof of just how fiercely she’d lived.
