I Decline the Ex-Boyfriend of the Regretful Male Lead (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 96
My head went cold.
Violet and the Prophetess?
The Violet I knew would never be capable of such a thing—so perhaps the Prophetess had her enchantment.
I kept chasing clues that proved it wasn’t her.
It was at that moment, when I was pinned to my seat by the sword tournament, that the Emperor and Empress arrived to watch the match.
‘The Prophetess is still at that location.’
The position marked on the enchantment hadn’t changed at all.
It seemed the Empress had come out alone, leaving the Prophetess behind.
I turned off the enchantment, rose from my seat, and bowed respectfully along with the nobles and knights present toward Their Imperial Majesties seated in the highest place.
“Thank you for joining us in this display of our imperial knights’ strength through swordplay.”
Immediately after the Emperor’s greeting and the knights’ cheers, the match began.
Though the atmosphere grew heated, Violet was nowhere to be seen.
“We shall now begin the match between Sir Shilderson, champion of the Second Knight Order, and Sir Winchester, champion of the First Knight Order.”
Somehow, it was already the final match.
My mind was elsewhere, my eyes searching for Violet.

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”

What happened that caused Serdis to go off the deep end like this? He has always been pushy and obsessive but this is a whole new level of villainry. Hitting Annette and wanting to torment her instead of wanting her affection. I wonder if Violet cast more forbidden magic.
What type of twisted logic is this? ‘It has no enchantment on it, so any magic could be stored within it’, yes but currently it’s empty like any other jewel. Then Annette reasons, ‘if Violet is casting strange magic on Serdis, perhaps this enchantment could offer him some protection’. How is an empty or blank enchantment supposed to offer anything? So the author wants Hertian to be affected as Serdis is by whatever magic is going on when he activates the ring, yet the author couldn’t come up with a better solution than having our typically intellectually/academically intelligent fl have a devastatingly illogical thought process. Or was there an error in translation?
