I Decline the Ex-Boyfriend of the Regretful Male Lead (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 114
“Go away.”
It was the first thing Hertian said upon seeing Lian. He’d grown irritated by Lian constantly buzzing around him like a fly.
“Just telling me to ‘go away’ out of nowhere? That’s too much, Your Highness the Crown Prince.”
“Don’t call me ‘Crown Prince.’ I’m Blanchiche.”
Hertian had left the imperial palace and inherited the Duke’s estate. That signified both his disinterest in the throne and served as a shield to protect himself.
Thus, even the title “Crown Prince” felt like a threat to him.
“If I shouldn’t call you ‘Your Highness,’ then what should I call you?”
“Don’t call me anything. Just don’t.”
“Oh, come on. We’re classmates—how can you be like that?”
Hertian, still somewhat boyish, tilted his head stubbornly.
“What do you want from me?”
“What do I want? What would friends even want from each other?”
“Then why did you approach me?”
At Hertian’s blunt tone, Lian grinned sheepishly.
“I just want to get to know you. That’s all.”

Male lead is a Love-Obsessed Merman
When he discovers she has gone, he risks everything to pursue her on land, enduring agonizing pain to transform his tail into human legs…

One-line summary: Male lead chases female lead. The male lead’s love is a bit sick, an invincible love brain.
Synopsis
During a voyage at sea, Jiang Yang accidentally captures a merman.
Servant: I heard that mermen are fierce and brutal.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman obediently rubbing her palm like a puppy: “You call this fierce and brutal?”
Servant: I heard that mermen have no human nature.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman with wet puppy eyes, obsessively calling her ‘A Yang’ like a childish infant: “You call this having no human nature?”
With great difficulty, she releases the merman back into the sea and returns to shore.
Who would have thought that in less than half a month, the merman, who should have been freely wandering in the South China Sea, would shed his scales, endure the pain of losing his tail, transform into human legs, and come ashore to find her?
He kneels at her feet, rubbing her palm, with merman tears rolling down: “A Yang, don’t abandon me.”

What happened that caused Serdis to go off the deep end like this? He has always been pushy and obsessive but this is a whole new level of villainry. Hitting Annette and wanting to torment her instead of wanting her affection. I wonder if Violet cast more forbidden magic.
What type of twisted logic is this? ‘It has no enchantment on it, so any magic could be stored within it’, yes but currently it’s empty like any other jewel. Then Annette reasons, ‘if Violet is casting strange magic on Serdis, perhaps this enchantment could offer him some protection’. How is an empty or blank enchantment supposed to offer anything? So the author wants Hertian to be affected as Serdis is by whatever magic is going on when he activates the ring, yet the author couldn’t come up with a better solution than having our typically intellectually/academically intelligent fl have a devastatingly illogical thought process. Or was there an error in translation?
