I Decline the Ex-Boyfriend of the Regretful Male Lead (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 106
“M-Mistress?”
The young man jumped in shock, looking back and forth between me and Hertian. Regardless of why it mattered that I was a mistress, he took a step back, his face pale as a sheet.
“We’re not villains—we only meant to help!”
“We’re just honest citizens of Navalle passing by! You asked us something, so we were just trying to answer…”
Hertian remained silent, apparently displeased with the stammering excuses of the two youths.
“Right? The young lady—no, the mistress was pos—”
“Yes. I asked them myself. I came to the market to check something, got lost, and these two kindly showed me the way. Now that my husband has arrived, we no longer need assistance. Thank you.”
I quickly cut him off before he could mention the possessor. There was no need to bring that up with Hertian.
‘Even if he knew, it’d only cause trouble. What would people think—a possessor following a stranger all the way to a bookstore?’
“Now, please go.”
Leaving the two youths standing there dumbfounded, I grabbed Hertian’s arm and pulled him along.
Fortunately, Hertian quietly followed as I led him out of the alley. The moment we stepped out into the bustling market, he spoke.
“It’s dangerous to follow strange men.”
That came before any question about why I’d gone out on my own.
“All men except me are wolves. Whether day or night, in the Imperial Palace or a small village like this—wolves appear anywhere.”

When yandere male lead believes she loves him — but she never did
“How dare you!”
“How dare you make me love you, only to cast me aside as nothing more than a friend?!?
“I will never accept that.”
“I will never let you return to him.”
“Even if I have to burn myself to ashes.”
“Even if I must shatter my purity, my dignity, my very soul.”
“I will never let you escape me!”

This was the first novel that introduced me to the matriarchal genre. I’ve read it three times already!
At first, the male lead despised the female lead. Later, he misunderstood that she liked him, so he condescendingly and reluctantly reciprocated her feelings.
Then, he suddenly discovered that she was kind to everyone in the same way, and there was already someone she cherished in her heart, and that person was not him.
The male lead couldn’t believe it, he became angry and crazy. He was determined to capture her body and heart by any means necessary.
Synopsis:
Want to see how a green tea bitch male lead falls in love with the female lead?
Want to see how he flirtatiously pursues the female lead?
Want to see how he gets slapped in the face repeatedly?
The male lead is a green tea bitch, a poisonous lotus, jealous, ruthless, unscrupulous, with a venomous heart, and he’s also a delusional maniac.
The female lead is righteous, positive energy-filled, kind, a holy mother.
Let’s see how two people with extreme personalities come together~

What happened that caused Serdis to go off the deep end like this? He has always been pushy and obsessive but this is a whole new level of villainry. Hitting Annette and wanting to torment her instead of wanting her affection. I wonder if Violet cast more forbidden magic.
What type of twisted logic is this? ‘It has no enchantment on it, so any magic could be stored within it’, yes but currently it’s empty like any other jewel. Then Annette reasons, ‘if Violet is casting strange magic on Serdis, perhaps this enchantment could offer him some protection’. How is an empty or blank enchantment supposed to offer anything? So the author wants Hertian to be affected as Serdis is by whatever magic is going on when he activates the ring, yet the author couldn’t come up with a better solution than having our typically intellectually/academically intelligent fl have a devastatingly illogical thought process. Or was there an error in translation?
