At last, the day of the imperial palace banquet had arrived.

Natasha and Zieghart attended the banquet as representatives of the Aschardt family. The official banquet was said to last for four days. If one wished, they could stay even longer.

True to the grandeur of the illustrious Retiers imperial family, the ballroom was as large as an ordinary noble family’s entire mansion.

And there were so many nobles attending the banquet that the vast space was completely filled.

“Oh my! Duchess Aschardt!”

The two had just arrived at the banquet hall and were exchanging glances to plan their next move when a cheerful voice from behind warmly greeted Natasha.

Turning toward the source of the voice, they saw a young lady parting the crowd and walking straight toward them.

It was Dorothea Park.

Accompanied once again by her chaperone, Dorothea had dressed more prettily than usual, apparently mindful of her unrequited love interest.

She grasped Natasha’s hand tightly and greeted her with evident delight.

“It’s been ages, my lady!”

“It really has been, Lady Park. Have you been well?”

“How could I have been well? My dear Duchess Aschardt completely vanished without a word! I thought my unrequited love had doubled—from one to two people! Lately, you haven’t replied at all—not even to my letters, no, to anyone’s letters!”

“Oh… um… well…”

Dorothea pouted, directly calling out Natasha’s recent silence. Because of this, Natasha found herself in an awkward predicament less than an hour after arriving at the banquet.
