Suddenly, it felt as if a sigh of relief had escaped from above. Though that couldn’t possibly be true.

Christoph swiftly closed the distance between them. With one hand, he grasped Marien’s hand, and with the other, he pressed firmly against her spine.

Ugh.

Marien involuntarily stiffened her shoulders at the startlingly vivid sensation. It was entirely different from the Marquis.

Between them flowed an atmosphere that was sensual and intense, rather than affectionate or gentle. Christoph’s gaze never left her, and his breath continually brushed against her eyelids.

Christoph slowly took a step forward. Marien began to follow him.

For a moment, a warm breeze scattered from above. Marien, who had been stubbornly staring at his chin, lifted her eyes slightly higher. She saw his lips, relaxed and slightly parted.

“You’ve improved a great deal. Didn’t you render me unable to wear shoes at my graduation party?”

“Ugh.”

As if recalling an embarrassing memory, Marien’s neck slowly turned red.

Christoph watched her with narrowed eyes. Through her gently swaying golden hair, her pale neck gradually came into view. His mouth watered particularly at the sight of that slender neck, which seemed small enough to be encircled by one hand.

He wanted to sink his teeth into that teasing, elusive neck. He wanted to take a large bite. Perhaps then this gnawing hunger would vanish.

Perhaps this burning thirst would finally subside. Christoph slowly swallowed, struggling to calm the wild beast within his gut.
