I Became the Villain's Sister (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 11
“What I’m curious about is this: given that you claim to see even fragments of the future, what do you foresee regarding how I will treat my son?”
This was such an easy question that I hesitated for a moment, unsure how to phrase my answer.
“That, too, depends entirely on Your Imperial Majesty the Emperor’s own intentions.”
“My mind is already made up. I’m merely curious whether you can discern what it is.”
Am I some kind of fortune-teller? It’s not even the future—you want me to read your mind?
‘But then again, the future is already set. After all, he not only acknowledged the Crown Prince as his son but immediately named him heir.’
“That’s—!”
Just as I was about to speak, something abruptly lodged itself in my throat.
It struck me as odd. Until I proposed to the Emperor, I hadn’t done anything related to the Crown Prince. That meant events had unfolded exactly as they did in the novel up until my proposal.
‘That’s strange.’
In the novel, the Emperor publicly revealed his son Rodelo on the boy’s eighth birthday and instantly declared him Crown Prince.
Yet now, Rodelo is only seven. Why hide the child for a whole year, from age seven to eight? That thought slammed my mouth shut.
“Why is that?”
If the Emperor hadn’t been absolutely certain that the boy before him was truly his son, he would have said, “A child has appeared claiming to be my son,” and likely suspected me of having prior knowledge of the boy’s existence.
But he was already convinced the boy was his blood. Then why—what could possibly have frightened him so much that he concealed Rodelo’s existence for an entire year?
What is he afraid of, both in the novel and now? My interference hasn’t altered the future; this must have happened this way originally.
So whether in the novel or now, why—why is he hiding the child? There was no external threat to him.
In this world, imperial authority was quite strong, so it couldn’t be a matter of life or death.
I stroked my chin. Meanwhile, unable to wait any longer, the Emperor pressed me.
“So, is your claim of seeing the future nothing but a lie? Then how did you know about my son’s existence?”
“Your Imperial Majesty will keep him hidden.”
“What did you say?”
“You’ll hide him until he turns eight. And on his eighth birthday, you’ll declare him Crown Prince.”
That’s all I know. Not now, but a year from now, you’ll make the announcement. I don’t know why, but one way or another, this will be the truth.
I don’t know the reason behind it, but it will unfold exactly as in the novel—because this has happened without any interference from me.
Predictably, the Emperor challenged my statement.
“Why are you so certain I’ll keep him hidden?”
“Well… the fragmented future I see indicates as much. Why Your Imperial Majesty chooses to do so is beyond my knowledge. I merely saw what is to come.”
I was simply repeating what was written in the novel.
Worried that speculating further might worsen the situation, I kept my guesses to myself—but the Emperor’s expression shifted strangely. Apparently, even this wasn’t enough.
‘Should I just blurt out everything I’m thinking?’
Honestly, I had a few tentative theories about why he had no choice but to hide Rodelo.
I didn’t know how the Emperor confirmed the child was his, but in all likelihood, it had everything to do with the boy’s mother.
The novel never mentioned her. Whether the Crown Prince met her after ascending the throne, or whether the Emperor met her earlier—it was never specified.
Occasionally, it was noted that Rodelo had days when he seemed unusually distressed. I cautiously speculated that perhaps he’d met his mother then—but that was all.
The mother might have been among the women the Emperor placed in the position of Empress Consort, yet her identity was never revealed in the end.
‘Perhaps the Emperor was searching for her. Maybe he intended to formally announce Rodelo only after finding her—that seems the most plausible explanation.’
Nothing else made sense. Just as I decided to say this much, he spoke.
“Interesting.”
“Interesting…?”
Which part? I genuinely wanted to dissect his brain—no matter how I thought about it, there was nothing remotely amusing here.
Yet his relaxed expression suggested he truly found it entertaining.
“You see, the truth is, I never really cared whether you could see the future or not.”
“…Huh?”
“I was simply curious. It’s been a long time since a person intrigued me like this. Of course, it was surprising that you discovered my son’s existence, but when I investigated, I found you hadn’t mentioned the child to anyone around you.”
What on earth was he getting at now?
“That alone was enough. People are naturally loose-lipped—they always talk. Those who, like you, would normally use such knowledge as leverage in negotiations and spread rumors everywhere are a dime a dozen, acting as if secrets don’t exist. But you truly told no one.”
“Oh.”
“And I’d expected you’d investigate my son further while waiting for my response, hoping to gain some advantage—but you didn’t do that either.”
Your Imperial Majesty… I can’t possibly know what kind of life you’ve led, but who in their right mind would investigate the future Crown Prince like that?
Trending
“Setting all that aside, I quite liked that about you. Before publicly naming him Crown Prince, I needed someone discreet to care for my son—and having you by my side seemed like it would be entertaining. After all, you’re the first person to ever send the Pigeon Assassins after an Emperor.”
“It wasn’t the Pigeon Assassins…”
I mumbled, then bowed my head deeply.
So all my worrying was pointless? Or perhaps it was precisely because of that process that the Emperor now spoke so openly. Either way, this was clearly a favorable turn for me.
“Never mind. That’s unimportant now. What matters is your proposal to me. Very well. I’ll grant you what you desire.”
“What I desire…?”
“Become the mother of my son. I’ll even grant you the Empress’s seat. Though due to procedural matters, it may take some time.”
Seeing the Emperor’s expression—clearly thinking, “I’m doing you a great favor”—I quickly spoke up.
“Thank you.”
“There’s no need for thanks.”
“Since things have turned out this way, let’s set aside talk of Empress for now. Please take me to the Imperial Palace right away.”
“Oh? Quite eager, aren’t you?”
He wiped away the myriad expressions he’d worn moments before and smiled with perfect gentleness—intentionally crafting a favorable impression.
Truthfully, Your Imperial Majesty… if I don’t act now, I’ll be sold off. My so-called parents are ready to sell me to some old nobleman simply because I refuse to obey them.
So please, let me use you a little. Swallowing down words I could never say aloud, I forced out each syllable with effort.
“Well… there are various circumstances.”
“Very well. Not immediately, of course.”
“Yes. Please make it as soon as possible. And now that this is settled, may I ask one more favor?”
“A favor? You’re quite demanding.”
“Well… I believe mutual benefit is best for both of us…”
I gave him a kindly smile.
“Why do you smile so nervously?”
“It’s nothing. I’d just like to bring my younger sister when I enter the palace.”
“Your younger sister?”
“Yes. Shanensia. She’s my youngest sibling.”
At the words “youngest sibling,” his expression darkened.
For him, a younger sister—especially the youngest—wasn’t a happy memory. His lost little sister, the youngest princess he’d adored beyond words.
That was why the Emperor had tirelessly searched for her. Yet the child was nowhere to be found, and not a single trace ever surfaced. And so…
‘I’d assumed the Emperor sent his own child to the Orphanage Director—the person who’d last seen his sister—hoping the boy might uncover even the faintest clue. Adults usually open their hearts easily to children.’
I’d even suspected that Rodelo’s supposed amnesia and entry into the orphanage in the novel was merely a facade, carried out under the Emperor’s secret orders.
As evidence, the Crown Prince eventually produced the princess’s necklace—the last trace the Emperor had ever found of his sister.
But it turned out I was mistaken: it wasn’t the Emperor who sent Rodelo to the orphanage, but his mother. The Emperor carried lifelong guilt and remorse over his lost sister.
Thus, I knew all too well how sensitively he’d react whenever I mentioned Shasha.
“Why do you wish to bring your youngest sister?”
“I’d think you’d know if you investigated me even slightly. You must have looked into my siblings and family as well.”
There was no reason to hide this. In fact, offering other excuses would only sound like prevarication.
Predictably, he nodded as I’d anticipated.
“I did investigate. Especially that youngest sister of yours—she intrigued me greatly. Both the Mage Tower and the Temple seem quite eager to claim her, so she’s caught between them.”
“My greedy family members are trying to exploit her. That’s why I want to protect her.”
“Oh? From what I know, you’re hardly different from your family. What makes you suddenly decide to protect your sister alone?”
“I’ve come to my senses.”
My chest prickled with guilt—because his words were true.
“I see. Well, it’s none of my concern. I’ve no need to meddle in your family affairs. Just ensure they don’t cause trouble.”
“You’re surprisingly…”
“Surprisingly?”
“…easygoing. I expected you to press me relentlessly.”
“The one I need is you—not your family.”
A wave of unexpected emotion washed over me. Perhaps because my expectations had been so low, even this small remark made the Emperor suddenly seem kind.
“Then while we’re at it, let’s settle everything now.”
“Settle what?”

“Shouldn’t I meet your parents and speak with them? They ought to know their daughter is about to become Empress.”
“Oh! That’s wonderful!”
Hearing the most welcome words imaginable, I smiled with genuine delight. Matching my expression with a faint chuckle, he slowly rose from his seat. With the Emperor himself speaking, my parents wouldn’t dare sell me off to some old noble.
“Lead the way.”
Afraid he might change his mind, I sprang up like a rabbit and darted back into the Count’s manor. Inside, the servants watched us with pale, anxious faces.
The Count and Countess must have already heard the news by now.
Just in case, I instructed the waiting steward to prepare the reception room and then escorted the Emperor with utmost care.
“By the way.”
“Yes?”
“What sort of person suits your taste?”
