“Melissa, what brings you here at this hour?”

“Nathan said he couldn’t find you outside Lady Rosebelia’s room and asked me to check inside her chamber.”

“Oh, I see. Well, the thing is, I couldn’t sleep, so I was about to go out when I ran into Ian… and since the hallway felt cold, he just came in for a moment…”
