“Rose, why is he here again?”

The one Edwin indicated with a glance was Rinat, who had come to the White Knights today under the title of Deputy Commander of the Guardian Knights.

“How would I know?”

I’d been secretly bothered by his parting words—“I’ll see you again soon”—and sure enough, it wasn’t just empty courtesy.

“You don’t know either?”

Edwin, who had been glancing at Rinat chatting with Fabian, asked with a hint of hopeful expectation.

“Edwin? I only just met him last time…”

Edwin nodded as if agreeing, yet his gaze remained fixed on Fabian and Rinat. That was when his clear, dark eyes suddenly sparkled.

“Rose, if we move just a bit closer, don’t you think we’ll be able to hear what they’re talking about?”

Feeling uneasy, I tried to slip backward, but the sharp-eyed Edwin swiftly grabbed my arm firmly.
